No power - fully charged battery

How about cleaning the battery contacts in the camera first with a pencil eraser and then, with a cotton swab lightly dampened with rubbing alcohol.

Hi. I have a Canon G9 camera. I bought in October 8, 2007 but did not register the camera's warranty until a few days ago. Here's the problem. I dropped the camera a weeks ago... Everything was...

Hi Cacy,
I don't want to offend you, please don't take it that way, but since your problems began with the addition of the new battery... I have to ask the question. Are you absolutely sure you bought the right battery for your camera?
It takes a NB-2LH battery pack. If your sure you purchased the correct battery for the camera, and since you dropped it, I would check to make sure it seats properly in the camara and that it locks properly. Also the cover should close with a CLICK sound. If it doesn't then perhaps the battery is not locking in properly. Double check it and let me know if you still have problems.

I would highly suggest upgrading the firmware. Best thing to do first when having odd glitches like that.
