Hi I have a WDD 960 P/G/A/K which is making a really load noise when spinning-its a high pitched tinny sounding noise and is slightly intermittant? The machine is level and not surrounded by close fitting appliances. The spin cycle does finish but it doesn't sound at all well. Hope you can offer some advice-thank you

SOURCE: Hotpoint Ultima WMA61 loud knocking noise in spin cycle

Hello I think that the drum bearings have gone on the machine..

To open the door and spin the empty drum quickly by hand and you should hear the noise or say a less amplifed one.. Also another way to check is to move the inner durm up and down to see if there is any play in it..

If you need any further advice then dont hesistate to ask....

My machine is just over 3 years old and although there is no play in the rear drum bearing it is very noisey on spin.
It gets progessively loud the faster the spin speed.

Renault scenic Auxiliary belt tensioner making high pitched noise

Time to replace the pulley, you can test it by pulling off the belt and spinning the pully with your hand or some compressed air, if it makes noise then its time to replace.

High pitched buzz/whine during wash cycle only, spin fine

1) Make sure valve is open all the way 2) some machines have a screen inside of the hose hook up which could be clogged. 3) last check to see if it is the hot or cold by switch your selector switch on your machine to hot then cold. If one of these positions eliminate the noise then the valve in the machine is bad.
