Ps3 i have problem with my ps3 online. one day it was working and now its not.I went to the setting and it cant obtain my ip adress on my router.

Have you set up your lynksys to allow wireless QoS? If not go to your lynksys broadband wireless software. If you don't know how enter 192.168.1.1 into your explorer bar, log in with lynksys, default is top line blank password 'admin', go to Applications and Gaming tab and enable Wireless QoS, you'll also see all of the places to establish and open ports for specific applications.

you need to open a incoming port for the ps3 on your router all you have to do is use the computer to go to your router settings then use whatever ip the ps3 is using and open a port for that ip address that should work but i dont have a ps3 so i dont know you could try that

sounds to me like you have the security turned on . Just type in your security key on PS3 and it should connect. Best of luck!

just try to reset your router if this dosent work unplug all cords on modum and router wait 1min then plug all back in this will usually work for mine

put this # at DNS entry 4.2.2.2 and 4.2.2.1

Check to make sure that your router has gotten an IP Address from your ISP. Because you PS3 is telling you that it has an IP from your router. This means that the Router to PS3 connection has layer 3 connectivity, but what about from your router to your ISP? check that in the router by logging into the router's web page and going to the status page it should have your information from your ISP if it does not make sure that the main page is set to the proper settings either get IP automatically (Cable Modem) or Get PPPOE (DSL) connection (Make sure that your password information is correct to).

Now after checking these items make sure that you set the router up as the DNS for your network buy setting this on the status page then in your PS3 (set the DNS setting to point to your router, and set your router up as a caching DNS server).
Then power cycle the router after saving everything, and power cycle your PS3 after setting everything. This should clear up your problem.

check your router setting will acept ps3 you can get into router by typing router ip adress into search bar on pc router ip settings will be in router manual ,hope this helps

Your wireless settings have changed because you changed routers. Go into your router's configuration and setup your SSID and wireless security settings. Then reconfigure the wireless settings on your ps3 to match the settings you supplied on your router.

Don't just use a wireless router with its default settings out of the box. Your wireless network will be hacked in days. Refer to your router's manual for information on how to configure it.

Have you tried to find the settings automatically? Your router may be stopping the ps3 from access it to retrieve the information

right fist of go on settings on the ps3 menu then go to network setting then click onsettings and connection status list take a note of all the ip addresses and servers then go to internet connection on the same menu and click on scan then click on your router name and then lick onenter ur wep key if u av 1m but if u dnt then cck on none then press right then go o custom on the address setting then manual on ip adress settings type in all ip address and servers and stuff then click on auto on the mtu dont use proxy server enable unpn click right then press x to save ur settings then test connection thn hopefully this works for u m8 cheers arsenal_07
