Touchscreen turned itself off and keeps flashing. HELP

Go to your cellular service provider or other reputable cellular repair shop and let them do a firmware upgrade. Had teh same thing, and the upgrade solved the issue.

Is your LG unit new, or have you had it some time? If the later, it could be capacitor failure, which can cause all kinds of issues. I had an LG DVD HDD recorder which had a similar problem, except the LG logo didn't flash on screen. Does your unit have a hard disk? The prblem with mine was that the machine would not boot. Eventually, even th date display went, and it would not start. Replacing a bank of capapcitors solved he problem. I didn't have the equipment, but a repair engineer did it for £25in less than an hour.

Flashing the logo means that the LCD is fine and kicking. You must get the phone's firmware reinstalled. The reason of flashing Verizon Logo is that it cant read or follow the instructions beyond the logo stage. So, give it the stuff to read or follow. Reinstall the firmware and you will find that everything moves smoothly.

I had the same issue with my KP500's screen flashing the logo.
The best way to resolve this is take it back to where you brought it from. They will send it off (which they did with mine) for a software upgrade and within a week you will have it back with no more issues and at no cost to you.

There is no quick fix solution. If you mess with the phone it voids your warranty.

Ther is a software problem and the phone as to be sent in to be reprogramed.This of course will wipe out any stored data. I to had this problem and LG knew the exact fix for it.

I have the same problem. But i had solved it. I use a lighter to burn on my viewty's touch screen, and it is working properly again within 30 secs. And ofcourse, do not burn the touch screen without a screen protector. Hope this solution would help.

The only hard restart I know of is battery out and battery in...

same thing here... pitch black... all I get is the call buttons keep flashing when I plug the charger in.
