My Maytag stove. I know it's normal to feel heat from the vent on the stove top when the oven is on. But the temp of the heat escaping is sooo much hotter than it used to be. Do I need a fix ? Model # MGR 5720 ADC bought new in '99

The heat from your vent should be a little lower than what the oven is set at. So I doubt if you have a problem but you might want to take some temperature measurements to see.

I have a KitchenAid microwave/oven combo unit model KEMS308. When the oven is on, there is a lot of heat blowing out of the space between the oven and the microwave (microwave is on top). My husband...

That is where the vent is. You should feel some hot air there. If you do not feel the air that is the time to worry. If you have any other questions please feel free to ask.

My Maytag Performa oven and stove top will not turn on (heat up)

When I turn on my Maytag performa using the "bake" function, everything looks ok on the display, however the temp. never rises above 100. I've tried "bake" and "convect", and neither one work. "Clean" doesn't work either. The oven will lock, and display shows that it's heating up, but temp. never rises.
However....."broil" feature works just fine.
Please help.

Oven was heating and we got HEAVY smoke....

Nothing in the elements, thermostat thermocouples are gas filled, sensors have wiring inside, nothing in the liner or insulation. You said this was a stove, and some stoves have a vent that goes up through one of the burners on the top. If you had oil splatter or drip into this it can get into your oven. We do know that some blower fans on convection ovens have a sealed oil bearing, but there would be very little oil coming out of this (drops) and you will notice your fan getting noisier or running slower in the near future. Have a maytag super capacity plus oven i tried cleaning the oven now the door will not open and it shows f9 on the front

Had the same problem. How I fixed it, was by using a very thin, and I mean really thin, flat tip screw driver and a flash light. Unplug the stove. Use the flash light to look at the very top of the oven door. You should see in the air vent slats a silver hook. Use the screw driver to go through the vent slats and push the lock open. Now, you should be able to open your door. But we arent done yet. With the door open, plug the stove back in. Close the door and wait for the F9 to flash. Now open your door, and on the right side you should see a tiny peg sticking out on the open oven. Its for the light to come on when the oven door is open and also to let the oven know the door is ajar. Push it in and wait. The door latch circuit should reset like normal, and you will see the latch move back into its normal open position. Which resets the F9 error and allows you once again to use your oven like normal.

Stove top hot when oven on

There is a vent tube that generally goes up to a back burner where you can use it for keeping something warm. There may be a problem with that tube falling out??? and all the heat is venting to under the stove top. Look fer it
