My cam wont play or fast forward,, it will rewind for but just for a second then it does the same thing as when you try to play it,,, it starts beeping and then the eject icon appears on the screen ,if you could assist me with the issue id be grateful thank you

Sounds like it may have gotten wet or it's just wear and tear. You'd have to open it up and fix it manually. maibe some sircuits are bloked. If it was in a hot place some small plastic may have melted on to the mother board. Could be that the ruber under the butons are just worn out. If you're sure it should work try to be patient. press a button and just wait 5min. It may just be slow cause it's old.

The problem is from the mechanism,these are some things you can try on your own
1)when the tape is already inside the mechanism and it have finished loading try to nock gently to make the tape load properly
2)if that do not solve the problem you have to loose the camera completely,then you change the capstan
