Is there someplace to buy a whole rubber washer repair/rebuild kit for a Roundup 4gal BP sprayer? It's square and was built in 2005 unlike the rounded newer ones. thx joe

I've found buying one thats too big and cutting it to size and shape works best on my sprayer. You could go for a sheet of rubber and cut it all out with an exacto knife too.

How do i get the pump to unlock

The pump is a twist to unlock. Most likely you left it for a while tight screwed on. Push the handle all the way in.. Put a stick in the handle, then slowly unscrew it. This will give you more leverage.

I've just been given a roundup 2 gallon sprayer. It seems to me the top should be removable to add the liquids but I can't figure it out and don't want to experiment to the point that I damage...

Howdy MMis971,The sprayer just needs to be pushed down by the handle as you turn counter clockwise. This can be made a little easier by unscrewing the nozzle where it connects to the tank to release any pressure built up by pumping.

Need a part for the sprayer. wasn't in the box the pipe with the sprayer end on it

Howdy g5483,Most reputable retailers' will either let you exchange the sprayer or get you the part. At The Home Depot we will gladly do either one to get you what you need.

When I pump my sprayer the pressure does not hold. The sprayer is new, about 3 weeks old.

I would return it to where you bought it. It sounds like the seal between the cover and the container is defective. Take a small container of soapy water and gently sponge it all around the cover of the sprayer. Pump it up and note where the bubbles form--this is where your leak is.
If you are not able to return it, check to see if there is a rubber insert that should be evenly seated around the cover where it screws on. You may be able to tighten that gap by using pipe thread tape around the ridges, but this is a temporary situation.

My sprayer is new, but does not keep the pressure, any idea's? It's a 2 gal, pump up type sprayer.

Check under the lid/cover for a rubber gasket. This may have gotten unseated when putting the sprayer top on. It must form a tight seal around the lip of the sprayer top in order to keep the pressure. Alternative: Put water in the sprayer leaving some air on top to build pressure. Put a few drops of dish soap inside and gently stir. Put the cover on, and tilt the sprayer to coat all areas at the top. Start pumping and see where the bubbles come out---there is your leak. If it is near where the sprayer hose enters, and it is a permanent mount, you may have a bad seal. If the sprayer hose unscrews, you may need a new rubber washer inside. If bubbles come out of the wand, or other plastic seams, you may have a crack in the plastic. Depending on the location, you could epoxy over the crack to seal it permanently. Good luck.
