The panel is stuck on pots/pans for cleaning and wont let me run the dishwasher. the pots/pans light keeps flashing

  • Jennie Kuzo May 14, 2014

Did the reset thing....I was able to try a wash cycle, so I light & the dishwasher started , but the light light went out & the Pots & Pans light came on. I left it wash for a while, then cancelled & drained & the 2 LED lights came back on. I watched for them to blink. They once then paused, then blinked once & paused, etc. I guess that's a code #1.

Bevererly, The problem with your dishwasher is the touch pad(it has a key shorted)and the touch pad would need to be replaced by going to apdepot.com and entering in the model # you can find the part # and then order it. Ap depot may or may not be the least expensive place to purchase the touch pad, once ya have the part number, do a google seach using the part number to see who is less expensive.

Dishwasher was not draining. I cleaned out everything and now it wont start

I have the same problem with another Kitchenaid model. I've had better results at keeping the water drained by running two back to back water saver cycles than running a full pots and pans cycle.

Dishwasher doesnt drain on wash cycle,ok on rinse cycle

Change the circuit board, timer/progrsmer.
Take it out and clean contacts,
Look for burnt circuit line and solder a fine bead carefully on the circuit board, difficult. Use the pot and pan program.

Kenmore Dishwasher #15769

Try this solution first
Push the Hi-temp and then push the Sani-rinse. Go back and forth multiple times on these two buttons. I found that after a handfull of pushes that a "1" came up on the display. I continued to keep rotating the two buttons and then a "2" came up on the display and the dishwater started it's "drain" phase. I then hit cancel to clear and then I selected the cycle I wanted. The washer started up just as normal at this point.

Flashing pot and pan light

shut off the power and see if the unit will reset. if its plugged in, it will be easy, look under the sink. if not, try a breaker.
let the power stay off for about a minute.
then back on.
if not restored, then you have logic boards that failed.
sorry,
good luck

Dishwasher lights blinking

QuietGuard3: Clean light flashing 7 times? Press Heated Dry, press Normal Wash, then press Heated Dry again and press Normal Wash again (that's 4 button-presses) and that should fix it.

Dishwasher's "Pot-n-Pans" light flashing

ga, behind the toe panel on the bottom there should be a tech sheet explaining how to put the dishwasher in the test mode. See if you can enter the test mode. If you can't, you probably have a stuck or shorted keypad. Catriver...post back
