Lexmark z35 printer not recognize by my computer

This printer does not recognize my computer and I may have thrown away my CD installation that came with it. I was going to remove then reinstall it. Is there a software where I can get this printer to connect with my computer so I can print anything without delay?

What is the operating system of your computer? we can only download the drivers of your printer if you have an XP. i actually have the same printer but i cannot use it on my vista machine.

You'll likely have to unzip the file (preferably to your desktop). It may be an automatic installation program, otherwise, go to 'add printer'....select "local port" , then select "usb", then select "have disk", browse to the location of the software you unzipped, and install

INSTALL A LEXMARK PRINTER WITHOUT THE DISK

Lexmark usually does not distribute replacement install disk.

Contact Lexmark here, to see if the disk is available.

If you do not have the disk you must download the software from Internet, follow instructions below,

Click here:Official Lexmark Drivers and Software

A web page will open, follow instructions, select model, select operative system etc., and click on download .
Chose to download the file in my documents when asked.
Afterdownloading,findthe file,doubleclick on the file, if you get introubles ,thenfollowinstructions below to reset and reinstall:

Unplug printer USB.
Go to control panel >> installed printers in Windows and remove (delete ) any installed printer from printer list.
Download driver from website and run the file.
Follow driver installation wizard.
Plug back printer when prompted from installation wizard.

Note:some printer does not work on Vista
