Local service repairman found one last time he was out.

  • tflynn14 Sep 05, 2011

Found the reset button. Extremely small located between two connectors on top sensor.

  • tflynn14 Sep 08, 2011

Your solution was wrong, as there is a reset on this machine. I am not satisfied nor do I accept your non-solution. With a little more looking I found the reset between two wires on the upper thermostat.

user manual above...
Hi, usually it is on the bottom of the motor. However i don't think that this model actually has a "Manual" resettable one anymore?

Bush dryer only blowing cold air pipe at back keep bending cleaned filter cannot find reset button

There is no reset button. If your exhaust vent is bent or kinked, that restricts air fly and causes dryer to overheat. Probably need to call a reputable service person.

F&p gas dryer thumping noise when turned on. sounds like tennis shoes in the dryer.

Please check the roof first.
Then,
You have a part of the dryer has broken and is slapping the inside of the machine.
Please do not use the dryer again until it is repaired.
I say this because of the danger of fire, from the gas flames that dry the clothes.
God bless your efforts.

My Fisher Paykel DE60FA-US6 Dryer overheats, shuts down

one simple thing I would check is make sure the vent hose is not stopped up. double check wiring on 4 post

connect the white wire, along with the white wire from the machine, to the center post suing one of the three screws you removed. This is the neutral connection.
Next connect the black wire, one of the "hot" connections, to the left side post using another of the screws. This is one-half of the 240-volt connection.
Finally, connect the red wire, another of the "hot" connections, to the right side post using the last of the screws. This is the other half of the 240-volt connection. Snuggly tighten the screws so that the wire connections are held into place, but don't overdo it.

hope this helps

Dryer worked fine yesterday. This morning it would run like always but would not heat. Machine is only probably (3 1/2) yr.s old

Hello there
The overheat protector is behind the machine's front panel, on front of the heater box beneath the drum. Access thusly: UNPLUG the dryer. Remove the lid. Carefully pry out the two lid bumpers at either side near the front corners. Remove the two screws beneath. Raise up the top deck, have an assistant hold it up. Remove the two screws at the edge of the front panel. Spread the sides of front panel just a little so the tabs that latch into the door grabber can clear. Pull the front panel forward and lift upwards to remove it. Be careful of the ground wire that clips to the lower edge of the panel. Shouldn't be necessary to remove the clip, you can turn the front panel aside enough to access the overheat reset button. Locate the reset button on the overheat thermostat and press it. The reset button is a large red button on electric models, but gas models have a small black button per pictures I've seen. The button should "click" when pressed if it was tripped. If so, reassemble and check if the machine now heats. It the overheat didn't seem to be tripped and it still doesn't heat after pressing the reset button, then something else is at fault. and yes the heating elements are normaly the first things to go out on these after a few years this is normal

The Aerosmart dryer display is lit up, but is all white. The different dryer selections do not appear.

The LCD panel board has gone bad and there is not a "fix" for this. I had the same problem and the only solution was to replace the display. It comes from F&P at a premium price, but fixes the problem and was very easy to do. Only one plug and handful of screws. I was almost able to do by myself but another hand was helpful.

Dryer runs does not heat

Hi,

If you are having problems with your gas dryer not heating the most common problem is that the ignitor goes bad. Even though it glows sometimes it is still not working properly.

if you dryer is gas check out this gas no heat tip....

If you have an electric dryer, you can have many different things that can go wrong causing the dryer not to heat.

check out this electric no heat tip...
