Go to this link (or copy and paste it into your browser if it doesn't post as a link); https://portal.bsh-partner.com/portal(bD1kZSZjPTAwOQ==)/PORTALFRAME.HTM third from the bottom is your user manual, second from the bottom is the quick reference guide. the key symbol is the childproof lock function - to activate or deactivate it press the start button for about 4 seconds during a cycle - check page 32 of the user manual for a more detailed description. Hope this helps - please ask again if not :)

SOURCE: bosch classixx 6 1200 express is

Hello, welcome to FixYa.

The Key symbol means the lock has been activated some how.

On most bosch of your class this is how you work it on & off.

Here`s how to deactivate it...

1) Press the "menu" button until you see "CHILD LOCK :ON" appear in the display. ( if nothing is pressed within 10 sec.following this the menu will close and it will default to program in the display )

2) Once you see what I just mentioned in the display press the "select" button until "CHILD LOCK :OFF" appears in the display.

3) Finally by pressing the "start/pause" button the key symbol should disappear confirming you have successfully exited the child lock program.

Bosch Serie 6 Exclusiv won't start washing, door light flashing even after door lock replacement.

Hi,

please verify with the product documentation that the flashing-door symbol indicates what you've initially mentioned. Apart from that, you might look for the sensor and hold it in to temporarily overcome the issue. If the door being shut is the issue, pressing in the sensor should fix the issue for you temporarily. If not, then you can work with Bosch or Home Deport to moving forward.

Prior to their arrival, you can power cycle your machine 1 or 2 times and check for the door symbol once more. It could be that they sensor has gone bad for some reason.

Thank you

How to unlock a Bosch classic 6 1400 express washing machine ?

The key symbol indicates child lock has been set.

Press and hold the start button until the key symbol goes out.
You should then be able to use the appliance.

Bosch Excel 1200 washing machine stops at spin cycle, doesn't seem to be draining properly. If I open front drainage hatch to let water out the machine will start its spin cycle. Happening every wash...

Your filter will be clogged, causing the empty pump not to drain in time (usually they get about 8 minutes and fault out). If the picture I have of your machine is correct, there is a small door at the bottom of the machine on the right. Open the door, unscrew the filter, clean and replace and all should be well. NOTE: It's worth tipping the machine back by 45 degrees when you do this so any water left in the machine doesn't pour out, but having a couple of towels to hand would still be a good idea.

Please add a comment if the above has not fixed your problem and I will try to help further

My washing machine is beeping and showing the key light and not turning on. The door opens though but it seems to be saying its locked!? It doesn't show the cycle time either. How can i get it to go...

Hello, welcome to FixYa.

I'll start by saying your post indicates it is a Bosch, but you didn't specify the model number. It sounds like the "child lock" selection has been activated, either intentional or accidental.

To reset it on many Bosch it is as follows...(if this fails, please provide your model number)

**Many times you can also push and hold the start key for several seconds and this too will deactivate the selection...on various models**

Let me know if this was helpful to you or not, if so please take a second and rate it accordingly and a short testimony is also appreciated.

Thank you for choosing FixYa. I'll need to watch for your reply if that doesn't work or before moving forward.

Bosch washing machine classix 6 Stopped working. wont let me program it. A key symbol flashes on

I believe that the key symbool indicates that the machine cannot lock the door. Sometimes the result of a slightly sticking door interlock mechanism. Open the door and close it hard and firmly (slam it a bit, but don't get silly about it!). A good test to see if this is the problem is to attempt a program with the door swinging open. If the symptoms (flashing key) are the same, then the issue is almost certainly narrowed down to that door lock mechanism.

If this fails, unplug the machine from the main power source and leave it for 20 minutes to allow it to reset its self, then try again.

Key symbol coming up cannot do washing cycle

Try and hold down the Start button for 10-15 seconds, or until the key goes away. If this doesn't work for your washing machine, or your machine is not a Bosch, let me know the make and model and I will help you out.

Hi, There's a key symbol in the display and it beeps, won't allow you to start a cycle. Regards, BG

Hello, welcome to FixYa.

I'll start by saying your post indicates it is a Bosch, however if you could post the complete model number I can speak directly about possible remedies instead of generalizing.

I can tell you it means "child lock" has been activated. To reset it on many Bosch it is as follows...

1) Press the "menu" button until you see "CHILD LOCK :ON" appear in the display. ( if nothing is pressed within 10 sec.following this the menu will close and it will default to program in the display )

How can i turn off key symbol

Hello Lucy and welcome to Fixya.

As far as the "signal" activation or de-activation goes, it should be performed before starting a load of laundry and it is as follow's... 1) Turn the program selector to any program as you would doing laundry. Add your items... 2) When you close the door the "start/pause" light flashes... 3) Press the "menu" button until the signal indicator is displayed and flashes ( a small speaker symbol ) as does the start/pause light. If no buttons are pressed within 10 seconds, the current setting will be saved. 4) Press the "select" button until the desired volume or "off" is reached/displayed. 5) Press the "start/pause" button so the program starts and the setting is saved after the cycle has completed. As for the "key" symbol, your washer has a "child lock" program and the symbol indicates it has been activated.
