PayPal don’t give you free money. It’s a broker service.. you pay from your bank card/account to PayPal.. and in return PayPal transfer your chosen funds, after taking a small cut.. to your chosen seller..

If you pay with paypal via credit card your account will always show no funds. The only time that it will show funds is if you have received a refund from a seller or had money transfered into your account.
Paypal will only draw against your nominated credit card account when you press the pay now key. It will not show what funds you have in that credit card account.

For clarification Paypal account cannot be negative unless someone filed a chargeback or filed a dispute against a transaction in your paypal account.

To fix it you just need to fund more to get out from the negative funds. Now if you cannot access your paypal that's a different story. You then need to click Problem with login? link on the login screen.

Most common way to pay on Ebay is with "Pay Pal"...go to www.paypal.com and you can sign up.
Some companys do take credit cards also...

E-bay doesn't directly access your bank account.

You need to log in to your paypal account then click on transfer funds.

i would recommend using a credit card that way it is easier to obtain a refund through your bank than it would be via paypal. Be very careful using paypal i have had them rip my off charging my credit card and i am not even a member!! At least it was very easy to get my money back and my bank suggested i get a direct debit credit card and have a zero balance only putting funds into that card when i want to make a purchase. Desputing funds through the bank is a simple and relatively quick process but paypal a gamble indeed. Hope i helped.
