Remote not working

GZ-HD7U Remote quit working, I replaced the lithium battery correctly but still not working. Can't find a troubleshooter for remotes on this site.

Thanks for the suggestion. I do have a manual. I didn't know about master reset.

If you have a manual there usually is a master reset for your camera. Otherwise a menu item changed. Lastly I hope it hasn't failed on you.

On page 70 of your manual there is should be instructions on how to be sure the remote control is enabled. On page 74 of your manual there should be a procedure for resetting your camera. This section of your manual gives lots of good advice about camera issues. I hope this helps.

Second request re: taylor lithium electronic scale model 7000 not working after changing battery twice. Yes interested correctly

On Amazon this scale got 24% 5 star and 43% 1 star rating.
In many cases it quit working or broke in some way.
"I owned this model for 1 year before it gave me the "batt" signal. after I spent another $7 on new lithium batteries, it turned out the scale was broken. looking on the web, I discovered lots of other stories like mine. advice: find another brand."

JVC Video camera GZ-HD7U does not run off of new (tested GOOD) batteries. Only runs off direct plugin. Is there a fuse or something I can fix to have it run off the battery? Don't suggest new batterie

Does the battery make good contact with the pins in the camera? Try putting a bit of pressure on it or move it etc to see if the unit comes to life, if it does even momentarily you have a loose connection at one of the pins. Since you have a second identical camera check the continuity reading between all the pins on the good camera and then the bad and compare the two should be exactly the same. If not there's an internal problem wit the unit.

You might have to install a driver before it will recognize any digital camera.

No disc for my JVC Everio GZ-HD7U

You don't need the disc. Buy Corel's latest videostudio x2 for editing. To extract the video files from camera just plug into computer with USB cable and search the camera for files.

UpDated Firmware for the JVC GZ-HD7U.

There currently are no updates for the camcorder, they discontinued the camcorder shortly after it hit stores.. seemed to have alot of issues.
To the other user with the similar issues. The camcorder isn't the same as a DV camcorder and you may not be able to capture live. My suggestion would be to mount the camera using the USB cable and copying the video files from the camcorders internal hard drive to your desired location.
You may need an application to convert the videos, I suggest MpegStream Clip. They have a version for PC and Mac.
