Hello,

The F3 error code means the the oven tempature sensor has shorted out and the sensor needs to be replaced. This is what the sensor looks likef3 flashing on display - oldtech2332_89.jpgTo check that it is shorted,unplug it and place meter leads at the plug on the end of it and see if the display on your meter shows 0.00 ohms of resistiance...if it does the sensor indeed has shorted out,a good normally working sensor shouls have a reading of between 1060-1100 ohms resistiance at room temp. a reading of ZERO means that the sensor has shorted and needs to be replaced. the part number for the sensor is 316490001 it could be purchased at your local appliance parts store or online at;

JENN-AIR MODEL D156B Electric oven

Hi Sadirrd

Your problem (flashing F3) is most likely a defective temperature sensor.It may also be due to a open in the wiring harness connected to the sensor - unlikely but could be.

Looks like yours is a bad oven control. There is a # at the end of your model # 0-5 that will determine which control it takes. Once you have that # you can look it up at http://www3.sears.com/ Looks like the part costs about $165.
