Any name brand two cycle oil should be good like Echo, Stihl,Opti-2,Shindaiwa. Homelite even makes there own two cycle oil in a pre measured bottle. Mix it 40:1 which is 2.6 oz. of 2 cycle oil to 1 gallon of gas.

The above post should read: 40:1 is 3.2 oz of two cycle oil to one gallon of gas.
2.6 oz of oil to 1 gallon gas is 50:1 mix.

Lost manual does this weed eater take regular gas or is it a mix

Want to give us a hint as to what kind of weed Eater this is? Most gas models use a mixture but the ratio can vary between manufacturers.

I added 0.4 oz of oil to 1/2 gallon of gas too much to mixture. How can I dilute the mixture without starting over?

??? Take a gallon gas can, pour the I/2 gallon oil/gas mixture into it and then add the correct amount of undiluted gasoline to the correct mixture. For instance, if you need a .2 oz/I/2 gal ratio then add 1/2 gal gas to what you already have. Remember, it is always better to have a little too much oil than gas.

Why won't my McColluch weed eater create a vacuum

Did you check the muffler exhaust or spark arrester, to see if it is clogged from using to rich a oil/gas mixture ? Did you replace the diaphragm in correct position ? Find a new carb online, possibly ebay ?

Describe your Poulan/Weed Eater No. Te475 952711797 17" Le Gas Trimmer/Edger Problem Need gas to oil ratio for poulan prolink pp335 weed eater

I found the manual for this model weed eater, according to the manual the mixture...
and I quote "This engine is certified to operate on unleaded gasoline. Before operation, gasoline
must be mixed with a good quality synthetic 2-cycle air cooled engine oil designed to be
mixed at a Ratio of 40:1 ...."
and I quote once more from the manual "Helpful Tip. To obtain
correct oil mix ration, pour 3.2 ounces of 2 cycle synthetic oil into one gallon of fresh gas."

Hope that helps,
If you like I can send the manual via email if you need it.

Need to know the gas and oil mixture for a Homelite 2 cycle weed wacker

Check your manual for the proper gas-and-oil mixture. For almost all modern two-stroke engines, a 50-to-1 mixture is recommended. That requires about 2 1/2 oz. oil for every gallon of gasoline.

What is the gas/oil mixture for my Homelite Trimline 25 cc Weed eater?

At any home store, wallmart or HDW you can find a 3.2 oz. bottle 2cyl oil for a one gallon of gas and not have to guess. That would be a 50:1 mixture
