WORX BATTERY CHARGER. when i PUT THE CHARGER ON THE GREEN LIGHT COMES ON.

Mike, The red LED is suppose to be on when you insert battery, the LED will go green when battery is charged. Look in your manual, Pg. 11 charging instructions. Check the attached links, manual, instruction and guides, Good luck

Hello there

Well it just so happens there is one for sale here, You may have to change the connector but its only two wires and low voltage.

My Hoveround MPV5 batteries will not charge, do you think it is a battery problem or a charger problem?

If you plug the charger into the wall, turn on the power switch and the light comes on, the charger should be working properly. Here is a way to test it-
Attach the charger that came with the power chair to the power chair controller firmly and turn the power chair on, while the charger is running. What should happen:the lights on the controller will scroll back and forth. If this does NOT happen and you can confirm the charger is turned on, the charger handle is fully seated inside the controller receptacle and the wall outlet has power, then the charger may have a problem and needs to be replaced.

If the charger is OK, then there may be a problem with the batteries. Here are some sypmtoms:
1-You connect the charger but the light on the charger never goes red, it just stays green.
2-You connect the charger but the light goes from red to green VERY fast.
3-The charger light goes from red to green but when you disconnect the charger and press the power button on the controller, you only have one flashing red light, or the batteries drain within just a few minutes of use.
4-The power chair has been stored or sitting idle for several months.
5- The power chair has been connected to the charger 24-7 for several months.
Any of the above examples indicates that the batteries are oxidized or damaged and will most likely need to be replaced. The MPV5 takes two, U1 12 volt 33 amp batteries which can be purchased at any battery warehouse store like Interstate Batteries or Batteries Plus.
Good luck!

Just got a used unit and the battery does not seem to charge. When plug charger in light on charger is green. When I attach the battery the light goes off, and charger makes a humming noise. Is this...

first of all check for at least 12 volts from the battery and the charger, you can test this using a multimeter, if the battery doesn't show any volts, lift up one side of the blue plastic housing on the top and verify that both the positive and negative wires are plugged in, you can order a new one here www.powerwheelsoutlet.com

Battery and Charging

Allow some more time for it to charge as depending on the battery and the rate at which the charger is charging the charging time may vary. Also if the battery was completely empty it may take some time to charge. To summarise allow some more time for the battery to charge, if it makes no difference then take it back to the shop.Hope this helps.

Zivan NG3 battery charger diagrams

Hi,
your NG3 should have been preprogrammed for the type of batteries you are charging. The NG3 has the 3 wires from the power cord. Here is what I have done:
Brown from charger goes to black wire
Blue goes to white wire
yellow green goes to green ground.

Problems with the INJUSA 12V Jeep - Not working.

Hi Rose,

Yes, batteries can die. But other things can happen too.

If you are comfortable using a voltmeter and the battery is accessible, here are a few things to check. Set it to check DC voltage and:
  • Test the voltage on the battery, is it Low, does it read zero, does it read near 12v?
  • See if it's charging. Do the same test with the charger engaged. It should read 12V. Does it?
  • Does the battery show any signs of leakage?
  • Are the terminals clean?
Get back to me with the results and we can take it from there.
Mike
