That is a replacement part that you should contact the manufacturer for.

Obtain a copy of the service manual and in it you will find the replacement part number of the DMD and how to purchase one. It is a very, application-specific component that you are likely to never find in any private seller listings.
A lot of DMD and optics engines were made and patented by Texas Instruments for many TV's.

Need a dmd chip for Benq Joybee GP1

It's chip number 8560-502AY.

It's hard to access. Remove two screws rear of case and two screws bottom of case to remove the lid. Remove three large screws from mainboard - one at the rear in front of the input port, one to the left of the projector lens, one deep below some blackout tape in the front center of the board. The entire mainboard assembly will now come out. The DMD sub board is to the left of the lens. One screw on the bottom holds it to the main board. The DMD subboard can now come carefully off its connector. The DMD can now be popped off the front of the sub board by using guitar pick or similar.

Mitsubishi WD-65833: Reset system on my WD65833 after replacing the DMD chip. Now get a flashing code of 1-2. Any suggestions?

You are not the first person I have seen who replaced the display chip and had fubar after--1,2 is no error found.

You might want to do a little more research: Mitsubishi when changing the optical engine has a procedure so the engine can communicate with the digital circuit in the set--opps!

By the way the reset on the front is only a boot up for the set--set also has a hidden option menu for a hard reset of the entire set to factory defaults.

tried that one?

Got white spots on my 42 inch tv all over the thing on te screen

These white dots are a very conmenissue when the DMD board is starting to go bad (the integrated DMV chip). The DMDcontrols the color wheel and the light engine; it’s in charge of manipulatingthe light engine so it can project a picture on the screen. A test you can try:bring up the TV menu. If the white dots appear in the menu, then that willi ncrease the probability of a malfunctioning DMD, if not then the digital video board will raise suspicion. Now if you decide to buy a new DMD you’ll have to search by part number, NOT by model number, the main reason is that two TVs the same model number may have non compatible components because they are different generation when they where assembled.
Also if by any chance you can’tfind the DMD sold separately, your next option is to buy the entire lightengine that includes the DMD, and obviously that’s going to be more expensive. If you're trying to save lots of money and you really know what your buying try eBay,you can get a really good deal, how ever if you are not familiar with TV parts, and don’t want to take a chance buying something that might not work, try online stores that specialize in TV parts (my personal recommendation: Discount-Merchant

I have white dots everywhere. which parts could it be? how much? what are their part numbers?

What is your model #? Most of the time when I see this problem with customers sets is when the DMD Chip, thats the Digital Mirror Device Chip on the DMD board is faulty. Their is 264,000 thousand micro mirrors on the face of this chip and they are all on hinges, depending on the voltage applied + or - they tilt for each individual color. Which is Red Green and Blue. Replacing the DMD Board usually solves this problem. Or you can just change the entire optics engine assembly. This site will probably be able to give you a quote on a new optics engine assembly if needed.

Projector has vertical white lines

You have dirty contacts between the dmd board and the dmd chip, or the dmd chip is bad. If the dmd is bad you'll need a new light engine.

Dot all over tv samsung hls4266wx/xaa

You need to replace the dmd board. In some cases it is more cost effective to replace the entire optical engine which includes the dmd board, lamp, ballast and color wheel for about the same amount of money and is easier to install.
