Hi there. I just replaced the batteries in my Lynx Scooter and it will not go any where. I have power to the handle bar area because the horn works and the battery indicator says full, but it will not go when pushing the forward or reverse. The scooter has set for about 5 years , so i replaced the batteries thinking that was the problem. What else could it be?

SOURCE: replaced the key & cylinder and now it will

Hi. Sounds like the switch in the lock assembly is faulty. If you join together the two wires from the scooter to the lock assembly, this will be the same as turning on the key. This will let youknowif the lock was faulty or if there is another fault. If there is a connector on the wires then make up another connector that fits the one on the scooter, with a loop of wire to complete the circuit. You might be better off to buy a whole new lock assembly with the lead and connector already attached. If you are not confident working with electricity, then ask a local service technician to do it for you.Good luck. Neil.

Check the owner's manual for the location of the reset switch. It is usually located under the rear engine cover/shroud. Contact the maunfacturer's tech support line for troubleshooting assistance over the phone.
Has the scooter been stored for a while? If so, your batteries need to be replaced. The batteries contain a gel that needs to have current run through it on a regular basis (at least 8 hours once a week) or it will solidify. If you attach the charger, what will most likely happen is the green light will either stay green or go to green after a very short time. The charger will indicate the batteries are full, but instead of being full of pwer, they are full of crud. Your insurance may still cover the replacement if you can wait for the process to go through. Otherwise, you will need to replace the batteries on your own. Good luck!

SOURCE: Lost the key to my

Soutside how secure does the scooter have to be? Is it parked inside at night and does your partner leave it unattended for long? The reason I'm asking is because you can replace the keyed switch with a plain old on/off toggle switch for about 5 bucks. Just remoce the console unscrew the old keyed switch unplug the old switch from the wire harness and using the original connector splice the toggle swith to the connector tape with electrical tape and install in console. Check correct operation of the switch before you put it in the console. If it works ok install it and put the console back together and there you go a fix plus cheap too You can always call Invacare @ 1-800-333-6900 and order a new switch Hope this helps.

Your scooter has an auto lockout timer. After it sets with the key on, for a determined amount of time, ( all scooters times are different) it will lock out and you have to turn the key to the off position for 9 seconds and then turn it back on. A good idea is to turn the key off when not moving.
When you turn the scooter on just wait 9 secnd before pushing the throttle.

Good Luck

My lynx 3 scooter wont go .power gage is full. But no movement.green kight flashes 5 x after i push the horn.

I expect the green light is telling you what the fault might be. If your instruction book doesn't provide the code you should contact the dealer or visit the manufacturer's website.

Scooter won't move

Things to check: Drive/Free wheeling switch, brake release lever (this activates an internal micro-switch that enable power to the drive system, battery box connectors (condition of contacts - corroded, missing, loose. etc.); main control cable (corrosion. lose or missing pins, etc). If all these are OK, could be controller or drive control potentiometers (speed, forward, backward) on the handle-bar (tiller).
Good luck!

Lynx scooter full charge will not move

Sounds like a wire has broken or come apart. If playing with the neck it starts sometimes that is the area that could be the problem.

I have an invacare ride on . The battery charger failed after the storm. Are they repairable or do I need a new one. If so, how much do they cost

The battery charger for this scooter is available from:

http://www.monsterscooterparts.com/

I believe the original equipment charger from Invacare for this scooter was a 3 Amp off board or on-board charger. The charger is no longer available from Invacare. Monster scooter parts shows this as a 2 Amp charger for the Lynx.
It would be more expensive to repair this charger than to replace it since you indicate it failed after a storm power surge. You will be happier by replacing the off-board or on-board charger for a price between $50 and $150. The only cost effective charger repair is the cord or plugs.
If the charger was plugged in during the storm, I would check the power path on the scooter for burnt fuses and wiring. Hope this helps.
