Failure of the vertical deflection module/circuit. The tv will have to be opened, the vertical deflection circuit found and replaced.
Definitely a job for a pro - the circuit is going to be extremely difficult to extract. The repair will cost you about $200: $20 for a new circuit and $90 per hour for the 2 hour job.
11 blinks - vertical deflection missing. Because the vertical deflection is missing the return signal for the synchro and the EW correction will also be missing which in turn will generate problems in the high tension/horizontal deflection so you might also get other error codes. There are a multitude of vertical IC's on the XBR line of tv's - most are from the TDA 81xx family. You will need to open the tv, find the exact one and order it online - there are alot of sites selling part. While the tv is opened check the voltages on the power source and the horizontal defelection block to make sure nothing else has been damaged.
Glad i was able to help

There are no blink codes once this tv turns "on". I can tell it turns on as I have to turn it off to restart it.
Do you still think it is the vertical deflection module/circuit?
Where would I find and order one? I do have a friend who can replace it.
Thanks for your help.
