FURNACE WILL NOT CUT OFF WITH THERMO PULL BRAKER THEN REINSERT BRAKER FURNICE WILL STAY OFF UNTIL THE THERMO IS RESET SAME THING HAPPENS AGAIN .WHAT PART IS BAD

If you have a programmable thermostat do the batteries need replacing? Test and re-insert. While there check for any loose wires on it, or at the furnace circuit board. Also make sure none of the wires are touching and metal parts and getting chaffed or shorted. If they are the shot will keep the unit from shutting off and/or cause short cycling.

High temperature thermal cut-out has tripped

Type, model, brand, age of water heater, and general installation of water heater are unknown.

1) Electric tank-type water heater: replace thermostats and test elements.
http://waterheatertimer.org/How-to-troubleshoot-electric-problems-with-water-heater.html

2) Gas tank-type: replace gas control valve, clean air intake screen/ location varies by brand:
http://waterheatertimer.org/How-to-troubleshoot-gas-water-heater.html#intellivent

3) Tankless: call service technician, or replace tankless with tank-type and save money long-term.

4) Add comment and describe water heater using label located on side of unit, and include what you are doing to 'reset' the thermal cut-out.

Bosch AE-9.5 keeps tripping the reset

All resets and breakers trip with high heat.
Do you mean the tankless unit is tripping the 40 amp circuit breaker?
Or the thermal cut-out, located on unit, is tripping?

Is this a new installation?
Or was the tankless working before and stop working?

Copy following link to check wiring.
AE 9.5 requires 40 amp breaker and 6 gauge wire.
http://waterheatertimer.org/How-to-wire-Tankless-electric-water-heater.html

If the unit is tripping the thermal cut, -out, then product manual says to call Bosch or service technician.
Call Bosch 866-330-2729
http://waterheatertimer.org/pdf/Bosch-Powerstar-AE3.4-7.2-9.5.pdf
Thermal cut-out can trip if water flow is too low.
Try changing power selector screw from Hi to Lo so only 1 element is ON. See diagram page 6 of manual.
Adjust the 'outlet service valve:' The manual recommends that a ball valve be installed between hot outlet and faucet. Adjust the valve so more water flows to faucet.
Remove aerator, clean aerator, don't use low flow restrictions or low flow shower heads, replace leaky faucet cartridge on single-handle faucet.

Fault 14 on rinnai energysaver 556ftr

Hi.

Error code 14 is Overheating error.

The error can be caused by the high limit sensing overheating and cutting off. In that case the thermal fuse may not blow. The high limit can be reset tripping circuit breaker and allowing the unit to cool down with power off.

If that does not work , then the thermo fuse has blown

In fact tis unit has a thermo fuse. (refer to manual). The thermal fuse can be tested reading continuity. If thermal fuse has blown, then replace the the thermo fuse. If the thermo fuse blows again, then there is a condition causing overheating. b260351.gif

Here Full service manual.

Unless you are a trained technician call Rinnai support ringing the number in the manual. Some of testing and repair operations described are not suitable for the home user.

Regards.

Ginko.

My dishwasher keeps cutting out after about 10mins into the cycle. It sometimes even trips the breaker. I think it might be overheating. If I leave it for a while I can reset it and start again but it will...

It can either be the motor or wash tank heating element. With the power off remove the lower kick panel, you will see 2 wires going to the heater, remove 1 wire and tape it up.Run a cycle and see if it cuts out,if it doesnt the element is bad if it does somethings up with the motor (going bad or getting wet)let me know.

E2 error code

In reading the manual for this coffee pot, it needs to have the descaling procedure run. The manual lists running a mixture of 6 cups water and 6 cups vinegar in a normal brew cycle...twice to clean hard water deposits from the machine. It says to make sure to remove the filter basket. Once the procedure is complete, unplug the unit and replug in to remove the E2 code.

Ducted gas hetaing keeps tripping the thermo fan switch. We seem to have plenty of air flow out of the vents and have replaced 75% of the ducting

It seems that you are saying the thermo fan stops first, thenfotre the safety limit switch shouts off the gas. This would mean the thermo fan motor is bad. It is overheating, which cuts out the thermo fan switch. The gas only shouts off because the thermo fan motor is bad.

Air conditioner keeps tripping breaker replaced the termostat do you think the compressor is gone its only 6 years old.

Every air conditioner has a motor called a compressor. The compressor provides the cooling capacity for the air conditioner. If the compressor or its electrical controls are defective the compressor may try to start, fail, and create an electrical overload. If the unit does create an overload, every compressor circuit is also equipped with an overload safety switch. The safety switch is designed to protect the compressor from burning out. The safety switch will cut the power to the compressor for a certain length of time and then reset itself. When it resets it will allow the electricity to flow to the compressor once again. If the compressor then starts, the unit should function normally. If the compressor doesn't start when the overload resets, the overload will again cut the electricity to the compressor. This cycle will continue indefinitely. (Always allow three to five minutes before restarting the compressor.) If this situation is occurring, unplug the air conditioner and get help from a qualified repair technician. This problem is often fatal to the air conditioner because the cost of repair often exceeds the price of a new air conditioner.
