Please check the charging voltage/current of the adapter, now plug it into the PC and check at the terminals of the laptop.
If there is no voltage or low voltage at the charging terminal then the motherboard charging section must be defective. If not the battery is faulty. Swap a similar type to confirm before you buy a new one.

Where is place on charger to plug USB cable?

AnUSB cable can be plugged into a n USB charger. The charger has a USB port that the cable plugs into, it is usually compliant with most USB charging cables. If your charger has a fixed cable, i.e. for a single make, you cannot fit a USB charging cable.
Most computers now also have the charging facility even when the computer is switched off.

NEW Battery not properly charging

Batteries have electronics data that software has to get to properly charge it. Newer lithium batteries maybe different. But apparently, you have a work around for a lengthy use of the new battery.

I have to wiggle the wire plug at the laptop side and it intermittently charges, replaced the charge cord did not seem to help. If it starts to charge cant touch screen or move computer or it will stop...

The charging cord isn't the problem here. I've seen this a few times on laptops, and the fix isn't achievable by anyone other than an expert. The problem is the power socket that's soldered to the motherboard is loose (when you plug the charging cord into the computer, you're actually plugging it into the power socket attached to the motherboard). To fix it requires that socket to be re-soldered to the motherboard. I recommend consulting a professional computer repairman.

Battery not charging. Computer is brand new. Works fine when plugged in, however icon below reads 0% charge available, plugged in, not charging''. I took the battery out and reinserted it, and still no...

If the Acer is brand new then it is under warranty. Take it back to where you bought the Acer and get it fixed under warranty. if you attempt to fix it yourself you will most likely void your warranty.

Computer will not charge

I have same problem. Was told that port which we plug the AC adaptor into is either cracked, loose, or broken. Apparently it is not a simple fix. Must be taken to PC repair shop where you'll be charged about $200.

Compaq Presario V2000 touchpad/battery charging problems

I noticed you were talking about over heating issues. Does the mouse issue happen when the computer is on for a period time?

I know with some laptops there is software for the "gadgets" on the mouse pad. If you have software related to it.. try reinstalling.

I am getting mixed thoughts of what you maybe talking about... please explain.
