Fuzzy signal To whom it may concern, I have had this TV for 3 years without any problems until last week when the image appeared fuzzy or none. I called the cable company and they came by and said it was not a problem with them. The problem seem to be when put on TV/ cable mode the image is black and white and fuzzy. IF a put the DVD on Video 2 image is clear. It seems to be a problem with the coaxial connection. How can I repair it? Thank you

If you alewady tryed the DIFFERANT cable modes such as HRC, IRC or normal and the set still does the same thing then Jexx is probably correct in the diagnosis. BUT one more thing to check is that there may be an afc problem I've seen in many sets as if you turn on the tv first and then the cable box the set already tunded and wont retune. If you try to put on the cable box first wait a few seconds then turn on the tv and see if it tunes properly. But Jexx is right the tuner is defective most likly Good Luck

Right, but the problem is more likely the tuner unit-which the coaxial is hooked up to. If it was strictly the coax, when you wiggled the cable around, the image would probably come back fine. Youll have to get a tuner and solder out the old one, the solder in the new one. The tuner for your model is part QAU0305-001 found here: http://www.jvcservice.com/service/JMdlPrtXrf.asp?PgReq=DspDta&MdlNbr=AV-32432 Be aware that the problem could be as simple as a diode or cap...until it can be tested we don't know for sure. techman would probably know more about this model than I would.

Just bought a 55" DP55D44 Sanyo TV, and the picture seems to be showing fuzzy. How can adjust this?

The fuzziness is radio noise from space. No I am not kidding. It's from the background radio spectrum of the universe's creation and it is uniform and OMNI-directional, so it will always appear as snowy noise that is fuzzy in appearance. You can't remove this noise unless you connect a signal from a TV station or cable that is much stronger in strength than this noise. If you mean that a TV signal comes in and appear fuzzy, it is because this TV signal is very weak and you need a better antenna to increase the signal gain. Hope this helps.

Here are a few suggestions,

*Check your connections to make sure none are loose.

*Try checking the Dish box to make sure everything that should be turned on is actually on.

*Also make sure channel 3 is the correct channel by contacting your service provider.

Fuzzy VCR Image and Recording

Most of the time, the VCR cleaning tapes are not very good.

Take the VCR to the local TV service shop in your area, and pay them the few dollars for a proper manual cleaning.

After a few years of use, the transport may need a new pinch roller, belts, idler wheel, head cleaner sponge, and some other pieces. Most of the manufactures are no longer supplying replacement parts for VCR servicing, but the manufactures used to sell a maintenance kit for their models. This kit used to cost about $15 to $40 depending on the model of the VCR.

You can research how to do the manual cleaning yourself, but if you are not experienced you take the chance to damage your VCR. The heads, and the guide alignments are very critical. You may also need to change some parts.

If the VCR still does not perform after the cleaning, then there are fault conditions. The machine will then need proper service.
