The slide on the lock screen won't slide to unlock the phone 90% of the time. The few times I can open it after taking the battery out the phone it functions fine. Help!

usually if you just locked your phone for the first time it instantly uses the last 4 letters of ya cell phone # for your lock. it works for my lg slide. you can change it after that if you go to your lock settings. it also depends... is it a touch screen or what?

If you push the battery in and try to release? Try a little silicon spray, mind not to over spray.If you hold open the release switch and manually pry out the battery with your finger nails?

At the top is a small hole, get your stylus and poke it into it and pull the cover.

1. Remove the back cover of your phone. To do so, you will have to press down on the silver latch while sliding the cover off toward the top of the phone.
2. Remove the battery from inside of the phone. Be sure to place it somewhere where it will not be damaged. Locate a silver hatch; this is where the SIM card is stored.
3. To undo the silver hatch, slide it in the direction that says "Unlock." Then, flip it upwards so that only one end of it remains attached to the BlackBerry. Carefully remove the SIM card.
4. Replace the SIM card after a few seconds. It should fit back into its place in the exact same way you found it. Lock the silver hatch by laying it back down over the SIM card, and then sliding it the opposite way you had unlocked it before (to the side that says "Lock"). Put the battery back in as well (by fitting one end at a time). Replace the cover (make sure the silver button latches).
5. Turn the phone back on. The "SIM Card Error" message should be gone.

U will have to take the inside door cover off and manualy open it. And replace the electric door locking switch. Very common problem. Get the new lock and latch assembly from dealer,

First off please access your sd card via computer and make some space on the card . Its always ideal you keep 20 % space free on the card .
Now please do a hard reset of the phone ( considering that you are on default windows mobile 6.5 )
Go to

1. Menu > All Settings > System > Clear Storage.
2. Enter 1234.

OR

1. With your phone powered off, press and hold the VOLUME UP and VOLUME DOWN buttons.
2. While holding the volume buttons, press the END/POWER button briefly and then release it.
3. When you see a warning message on screen, release the VOLUME UP and VOLUME DOWN buttons.
4. Press the VOLUME UP button to perform the reset, or press any other button to cancel the reset.

NOTE : PLEASE TAKE A BACKUP OF YOUR DATA , USE PIM BACKUP,

Try Holding Home And Lock At The Same Time Untill The Apple Logo Appears.
If No Work, Try Restoring It .

I am also having the same problem it has unlocked but no matter where I touch on the screen it opens my contact list if I push the green button it opens call list but selects the last on the page. I have tried turning off and on, taking battery out and the sim and the micro sd but to no avail... I also require a solution please it has done it b4 a few times but usually fixed itself or when i reset it worked but it hasnt this time
