Describe your 2000 Series Grill Problem
I'm trying to figure out what happened to Patio Classic. I've owned three 6000 series grills and need to find replacement parts, are they out of business?

Unfortunately, Weber doesn't consider that a replaceable part, like a grill grate or handle. It's considered a part of main body of the grill and is not replaceable.
Sorry, I wish I had better news for you on repairing it. However, you can purchase on similar to from any Weber dealer. You can locate one at the following link http://dealer.weber.com/
Try www.minxenterprisesinc.com, go to their repair parts catalog and look up Weber and your model number. If they don't have your model number listed, you can do a dimensional search to try and find a grate that will work.
Check with Lowe's. They carry a large number of generic grates for gas and charcoal grills. However you must have the dimensions of the grates or take the old ones with you to the store to match them up.
I could not find a replacement but used 2, 18" weber circular grates, one on each end and they overlap in the middle. It is not and ideal arrangement but it allows me to continue to use this discontinued charcoal grill that I love so much
