My Samsung Captivate won't take a charge. It works on the both house and car charger but as soon as I take it off the charger it shows zero charge left and quickly shuts down. When I leave it on the house charger for several hours it will give me the "fully charged" signal - once I take it off the charger it shows zero charge and again shuts down.

Samsung N145 Plus battery charge failure

If the laptop battery is more than 3 - 4 years old then the battery could be worn out. Rechargeable batteries have a finite number of charge and discharge cycles and will lose their charge capacity over time, i.e. won't charge to 100% and gradually the charge reduces until the battery won't charge up at all. OR The battery shows a 100% charge but when the adapter is disconnected the battery drops off to zero capacity in a very short time. If the battery drops to an unacceptable charge level then the battery needs to be replaced.

Samsung Captivate Galaxy S (only a month old) is dead... after having been charged overnight. Pushed "wake up" button, top right and NOTHING! What to do?

TURN YOUR PHONE OFF AND BACK ON OR TRY INSTALLING NEW BATTERIES!

SOMETIMES THIS REBOOTS YOUR PHONE!

YOUR CHARGER MAY ALSO BE DEFECTIVE, DRAINING YOUR BATTERY, TRY USING A CAR CHARGER TO RECHARGE!

IF NON OF THESE WORK, YOU'LL HAVE TO REPLACE YOUR BATTERY, GO TO A BATTERY STORE LIKE INTERSTATE BATTERIES OR BATTERY'S PLUS, THAT WILL BUY YOUR OLD BATTERY AND WILL INSTALL A NEW ONE!

HOPE THIS HELPS!
