The Default gateway settings seem to be the problem. Try the steps below:
1.Click Start
2. Click Control Panel
3. Click Network Connections
4. Then click either the Local Area Connection Properties
Click TCP/IP Properties,
make sure that IP address and DNS are set to "automatically obtain."
Click the Advanced button and make sure that nothing is entered for Default Gateway and on the DNS tab
repeat from step 4 for wireless connection properties also, if you use a wireless connection.
You may also switch off the modem (and router if you have one) and turn it on after a few seconds.
Reboot the computer.
Good luck
Please do confirm wireless or wired connection. If wireless ,reset wireless modem, install new wireless software (third party) or make sure wireless adapter in good position. If wired run winsock fix, make sure ur lan cable socket is not loose, or try differnt cable, check windows update or antivirus.
After installing Windows 7 and any other new applications, please ensure that you have loaded ALL the required W7 drivers for your specific Aspire One especially the CHIPSET supports driver (if not, plug-in devices and other inbuilt devices like sound, modem, usb or video will not work properly).
Hope it helps. Let me know how you go!
