Washer stopped dead in mid-load. Power won't come on. DOOR IS LOCKED AND WON't UNLOCK! Breaker is fine but reset it anyway. Tried all combinations of buttons and holding them down. Unplugged and plugged back in. Not sure if water still in it or not because it won't come on.

SOURCE: The drum wont hold water. it goes right out the draim

The drain needs to be above the actual water level or it will run out, the pvc should be above this point in order for the hose to get air and not act like trap and run out all that comes in,< woud suggest going to hardware store and getting piece to add on to 4 inch section with a coupler and washer drain cap>. they will cut to length, < take measurement of pipe size and length needed to get just bellow height of washer top, pvc goes together by cleaning and glueing, if the 4 inch piece has angle cut then it will have to be cut to strait line for good seal.

SOURCE: Amana front load washer door wont unlock

Hi.

Nd is drain error.

Check inside the control assembly, you may have a technical diagram with instructions pocked in there.

You will need to check the drain pump hose for blockage.

If that is not enough to fix the problem, then the fault may be the pressure switch, the pump, or the control assembly.

In that case the best thing to do is calling the support number listed in the owners manual to contact Amana.

SOURCE: Have an older Maytag top load washer. Probably 10

Hi,
This could be a bad timer. Try changing setting on timer and truing it on. One thing for sure you have a dead short... This could be the timer or the motor or it could be a wire inside the cabinet shorted out... There should be 2 clips on the top front of machine that hold the top douwn use a putty knife or other thin but stiff object to pust in on those clips while pulling up on top at the same time then you can fold the top back out of the way and just look for anything unsuual. Burnt/ broken wires loose wires etc... The front will need to be removed to observe motor area... Usually 2 screw at top left and right the pullout and up... Smell around the motor for that burned rubber smell.
Please let me know if I can do anything else to help

Electrolus front load washer door won't open

Hello - Try resetting the unit by unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker off. Wait approximately ten minutes. If the door does not open, then it sounds like the washer is possibly experiencing a communication problem with the control board, wiring failure or faulty door lock. Contact a professional to move forward accurately to properly diagnose/repair unit.

My Kenmore front load washer will not fill--it sounds like it is draining instead. The last load washed did not spin correctly and the clothes were very wet when cycle completed.

Washer Not Filling:

  • Door Not Closed and Locked
    • Front load washers won't fill if the door is not closed and locked. Listen for the door locking when starting a cycle, then pull on the door to make sure the door is closed and locked.
  • Delayed Start Feature
    • Some washers have a delay prior to filling, where the electronic control is checking the dispenser function. This is Normal.
  • Flashing Lights or Error Code on Display
    • When there is a filling issue, the washer may shut off and display one of the following codes: LF, LE, nF, IE, FH, E10 or F20.
    • If the washer is displaying one of the above error codes, then do the hard reset procedure listed below.

If the appliance is not accepting input from the control panel, follow the steps below to reset the control:

  1. Unplug or turn the circuit breaker off for 30 seconds.
  2. Plug the power cord into the wall outlet or turn the breaker back on and wait 30 seconds.
  3. Press the Pause / Cancel / Stop button twice to clear the display.
  4. Start a short cycle, to check operation of the appliance, by selecting a cycle and pressing and holding the start button until the appliance starts.

Hi

It seems that something is clogged in the drain pump assembly and you have to clean it to solve this issue. After cleaning if the issue returns then test the door lock assembly, if bad it should be replaced. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

My affinity front load washing machine stopped mid-cycle. The door won't lock so it won't run and it has water sitting in it. Is there anything we can try before calling a repair man?

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
There is likely to be a problem with either the door solenoid/lock or the 'door closed' sensor. Sorry but both require a service engineer's attention I suggest ;-0(
If this has assisted and/or clarified the situation for you please consider a 4 thumbs up on our rating.
Thanks and good luck!
