My Bosch SHU43C will sometimes make a loud noise

It may be more cost affective to just replace this unit. the circulation motors that are used in these dishwashers are not reliable. the wash impellers seems to have issues dealing with staying attached to the drive stud and shaft. this will cause the impeller ti shift inside the housing, causing noise and jams.

A new circulating impeller kit will cost about 100 dollars and, labor for this type of repair is 80 dollars an hour.

Our Bosch SHU43C Built-in Dishwasher sticks in the drying cycle.

I have the same dishwasher and started experiencing the same problem last week. It is now fixed (at least for the moment). Here's what I did first. I checked the drain pan under the machine for water(none), the heater for continuity(okay), the float for binding(none), and the float switch for proper functioning(okay). I tried turning the ckt breaker off for a couple of hours to see if that would reset the control module(no effect). I then dissasembled the front door and removed the control module. I had previously read about the common problem of a cold solder joint on the heater relay pin on the control board. My heater was working and the joint looked good but I resoldered it anyway. I reassembled everything and it worked perfectly! My conclusion is that it was either a cold solder joint that was somehow causing the problem or a connector issue that got resolved during my disassembly/reassembly. Hope this helps.

Bosch SHU43C installed in 2003

My Bosch SHU43C had the same exact problem. I found the below solution on this site. Perhaps you already seen it.

My SHU43C is just over 3 years old. I had a similar problem recently. First, there were a few floods. Then, the Bosch only drained non-stop. Even when I used the Cancel Drain buttons the drain pump would run without stopping. When I tried to run one of the cleaning cycles, no water entered the machine. Corrective: I removed the base plate, and saw that the red plastic floatation device was in the up position. Using a flashlight and a wooden spoon, I lightly toggled the red float stem down. I pushed regular clean cycle and kept toggling with the red float stem until the rinse water started to enter the machine (turning the red stem seems to also actuate a step in the program). Now the dishwasher runs normally. Voila!

SHU43C

Ours does this occasionally. We always pop one of those dishwasher cleaner bottles in which gets rid of the grease that accumulates, but the best thing to do is remove the arms that do come out with a bit of force and you'll probably find that the holes are blocked - normally it's fruit pips. It takes a little patience and quite of lot of shaking to get them back out of the hole in the middle, but that should solve the problem Hope this helps Andrew

Kenmore Dishwasher Not Sanitizing

You don't need an additive.
The sanitized LED itself is probably out.
It will not light up if the sensor doesn't sense that the water has reached 155 F. If the dishes are getting clean, I assume the heater is working properly. You could have a failed sensor, but you would usually notice longer than normal wash times and the dishwasher getting hotter than usual.
Alternately press heat dry and hi temp scrub 4 times. This puts washer into diagnostic mode. The first thing that happens is all the LED's light up. If it lights up then it is ok and the problem is somewhere else.
If these instructions don't apply to your machine, please post the complete model number from the decal just inside the front of the tub and I will look it up for you.
