There are two things which could have caused this. One, the Monitor settings have changed or the computers display settings have changed.
1. Resetting the monitor
to default.
Push the 'MENU' button to open the OnScreedDisplay system and display the main features menu. Push the - and + buttons to move between the function icons
Use the buttons to highlight 'Factory Reset' (this returns the settings to the factory preset values for the selected group of functions)

2. Checking the desktop display settings.
Right click on the desktop and select properties, click on settings and make sure screen resolution is set to one of the following 640 x 480
or
800 x 600 or 1024 x 768. These are the only ones supported by the monitor
If both this fails. Then the monitor is nearing end of life
