This tends to indicate that the monitor isn't conveying it's specific information to the PC. This usually happens if the driver for the video card isn't quite right or is all together wrong.
You aren't getting bi-directional communication from the VGA card (yes, they actually do RECEIVE as well as send signals).
Look to your video card driver, and make sure it's the right one for the operating system you are using, and also that it's updated.

Hi,
I see you are having issues with you LG monitor.
What type of video card do you have on your computer? if I may ask.
And also did the LG Monitor come with a disc to install the Monitor.
The VGA means it is using VGA a a mode or type of cable connection for the Video, what cable are you using? are you using an HDMI connection for the Monitor/LCD or is it the Blue Cable on both ends if it is the Blue Cable then that is using VGA so it will say on VGA meaning it detects the video connection from that cable.
Are you asking because this shows every time you turn the LCD monitor ON , is that correct, if that is the reason it is normal.
The question I see is incomplete? and when you? what happens?windows detected my monitor as generic non pnp monitor and when i installed the inf file for lg monitor and updated and rebound to generic non pnp monitorit says device on vga and when i

ACER P223W Monitor Ghosting (Multi-Mon Setup Win8)

Hummmm.... are both monitors connected to the same surge protector?

I had a similar problem with 2 monitors and a Brother Laser Printer (with a long USB cable), where the Brother was connected to a different AC outlet connecting to a different breaker! No fair...

That happened because that 'Brother' outlet was part of a new room addition... and hence a 'new/different' circuit breaker.

Once I connected the Brother to the same surge protector my video problems went away. And yes, the "grounds" are connected properly at both outlets... go figure.

Acer S232HL driver did not install I want it instead of the Generic PNP driver. Help please

Good for you Barb, in the future be aware the for display adapters you can simply remove them and you would be prompted to re-install a driver for it at reboot.
It will by default use a generic monitor driver so you just cancel out the install and then run the setup off the CD.

Mike

My direct3d , directdraw , agp texture accelerator are showing not available in my dxdiag.

Actually you have not installed drivers for ATI Radeon 7500. Just download and install updated drivers for this hardware. If you can't locate the specific drivers then use a driver scanner tool to locate specific drivers for this hardware. Also use a system utility tool like PCFresher to fix windows and registry errors. It will also fix missing dll files.

Windows 7 doesn't recognize my iiyama Vision Master Pro 450 Monitor, what to do?

My Iiyama Vision Master Pro 450 works with Windows 7 when connected with a VGA video cable that has 5 BNC RGB connectors that attach to the back of the Iiyama monitor. No driver install was needed; Windows 7 shows my Iiyama monitor as a "Generic Non-PnP Monitor" with 1024x768 resolution.

I am looking for a monitor driver for Windows Vista for LT1919

Windows XP and Vista should "auto-detect" the capabilities of this LCD screen.

If not, access http://WindowsUpdate.Microsoft.com
and scan for updates.
When the scan is done, look for "optional hardware" updates.
If Microsoft has a driver, it will be offered for download.

I have Aspire 4730Z acer laptop. but can't install blue tooth. when going to install driver from utility CD showing no device found. let me clear how can I resolve the problem

Method 1: Rename the Bth.inf file loadTOCNode(2, 'workaround'); Rename the %WINDIR%\inf\Bth.inf file to Bth.bak before you install or reinstall the third-party device or stack. When you rename the file, you prevent Windows Plug and Play PNP from using that INF file to install the Bluetooth driver that is included with Windows XP SP2. To rename the file, follow these steps:
  1. Click Start, click Run, type %windir%\inf in the Open box, and then click OK.
  2. Right-click Bth.inf, and then click Rename.
  3. Rename Bth.inf to Bth.bak, and then press ENTER.
  4. Install the third-party Bluetooth driver.

Method 2: Update the Bluetooth driver in Device Manager loadTOCNode(2, 'workaround'); To replace the Windows XP SP2 installation of the Bluetooth stack, update the driver in Device Manager. When you do this, specify your third-party driver. To update the driver in Device Manager, follow these steps:
  1. Click Start, click Run, type devmgmt.msc in the Open box, and then click OK.
  2. Locate the device.
  3. Right-click the device, and then click Update Driver.
  4. Follow the steps that appear on the screen in the Hardware Update Wizard to specify your third-party driver for the Bluetooth device.

Service installation section in this INF is invalid

If the player is showing up in your Windows' Device Manager under "portable devices" with a yellow "!":

1.) Right-click the yellow "!" and choose "update driver".
2.) When given the option to connect to Windows Update, choose "no, not this time" and click next.
3.) Choose "Install from a specific location (advanced)" and click next.
4.) Choose "Don't search. I will choose the driver to install" and click next.
5.) Click the "Have Disk" button. Browse to C:\Windows\inf and choose the file marked "wpdmtp.inf"

I can't believe the generic players have such crappy support when so many people have this problem! I think the Windows file problem might be caused by "compressing old files" when you do a disk cleanup.
