Where can i buy this console? - Nintendo NES Console

this is an early sign that your Ps3 laser is breaking you can either buy a new laser on ebay or buy a new one i recommend buying a new one as blu ray lasers are expensive and take a long time to replace plus your console with sti;l wear out preatty fast

Games bought in Ireland are not compatible with your US console. So rather than buying a converter plug, you're better off buying a new Xbox 360 console. (Of course if you have brought games with you from the US these will ONLY work on your US console, meaning you need a plug. You should be able to find a converter in an electronics store.)
But do not forget that certain games are region free (meaning any console can play it, regardless of where the console was bought.
Just to warn you so you don't buy the same game for both your consoles, when you may not need to.

Seems like your hard drive might have crashed. I would suggest buying a new one, as well as perhaps buying an Xbox 360 memory unit. It's a lot cheaper to buy a new hard drive than it is to buy an entire new Xbox 360, plus you already have a working console, just not a working hard drive. As far as I know, there is no way to fix a hard drive that's messing up. I would contact Microsoft just in case though.
Otherwise, buy a new hard drive and sadly, start from scratch.
Another thing I would try first though, is testing the hard drive on another console. If it works on the other console, it might be your original console that isn't working (not the hard drive). (You can only do this if you have a detachable hard drive though of course.) If you don't have a detachable hard drive, you won't be able to replace it by simply buying a new one and you won't be able to test to see if it's the hard drive or the console in which case, you have to contact Microsoft regardless.

it is the difference in the consoles not the size of the hard drive.. the size of the hard drive is just an indicator between the different versions of the ps3

If you buy a gaming console from one country and you buy a game from a different country, the game will not work because the file format is different to what the console supports. i.e You buy a Playstation 3 in America and you buy Hitman in the UK, they will not work with each other. If the game is copied or damaged it will also say "File Format Not Supported" or "Incorrect Region Code".

The only way to fix this problem is if you buy games from the country that the console was bought from or you can also purchase a code that will unlock certain regions so your console should play most games.
