I recently dropped my amp after a gig and once I hooked it back up only one channel works. I noticed upon start up after the fault lights go out I would hear two clicks .. now I only hear one. I'm wondering if a relay went bad or if something else could be at fault. I have no fault lights on power light is light and all connections are made.

I am a musician myself (classic rock band) I too have a crown two Chanel amp , only difference is ours is a 3000. Well don!t feel bad. I had dropped mine more than once and your right, when you turn it on you hear two clicks, one for each side, those are relays that trigger the power to come on and like warm up. I dropped mine one time and both sides were not clicking at all, so I took it apart ( lid off, unplugged of course) located the relays which were pretty easy to find as they were the first switch from where the internal power plug comes in, I moved them around, got lucky, they got loose from when I dropped. Then happened again by a helper, and this time no help. Went to guitar center and they took unit and replaced them, about 40 bucks. That was a couple years ago. Point of my story, this problem seems as mine, and I believe it is going to be a loose or broken relay for that side chanel. Thanks mike, hope this helps.

More than likely you just knocked somthing loose ( i.e. cable, header, ribbon cable, etc. ) i would start by just removing the top ( it'll probolly be pretty dirty inside ) and pokeing around just making sure connections are secured. of course dont do this with it plugged in or recently plugged in to keep yourself safe from electricity. 9 chances out of 10 if you drop somthing and it stops working you can usually physically see the culprit. also ch. 1 and ch. 2 should be identicle in the way they are designed ( circuit wise that is ) you can ( if your talented with a voltmeter ) take a voltage reading from your relays on ch. 1 and compare them to ch. 2 and see which power supply you've lost and back track from there.

My amp blew the 20 amp fuses. Replaced and they blew as soon as the radio kicked in. Took the back off to look for any burnt connections or blown open/expanded capacitors or resistors. It smells like...

Remove all the wires from the amp including the remote turn on wire. Once you do that, after about 30 seconds the amp will reset. Hook the power up first, then the ground then the remote. Turn the unit on and check for power WITHOUT the speakers hooked up. If you get no power by now it's a good chance that the amp is cooked. If you do get power, try hoking up your speakers first on one channel then the other channel and then bridged. If it cuts out or off when you touch the speaker wires to one channel or the other, then that channel is no good. Hope this helps.

Soon as i turn on my QSC RMX2450 the clip light comes on for Ch 2

Sounds like an output going bad. Try to get some electronic contact cleaner and spraying on the circuit board. If its corroded this will help clean the circuit..

The fault light immediately comes on my Crown XLS 602 power amp immediately upon turning it on. It will not go out?

Hi try disconnecting the speaker outs and turn off bridge (if its on) If it doesnt work still, then suggest direct to a crown agent. The amp has a 3 year no fault warranty. Hopefully its still in!

All the best

Older Cr 1604, powers up but no output, suddenly after gig.

The power supply is located in that area on one side. It is possible that one of the output op-amp ICs has failed. There are a number of 4558 ICs used as output buffers for this unit. Without seeing the unit and testing parts of it, I can't say for sure. These are not the easiest to work on as they are really compact. Where are you located? I may be able to suggest a service center in your area. The repair cost should not be too bad. The parts are cheap and readily available. Please update this with your location. Thanks, Dan

Jl audio 500/1 amp low ohm light at high volume

I would try running the subs in parallel. Pos to Pos Dual Voice, Neg to Neg Dual Voice. Then Run + to + stereo - to - stereo on both channels.
So you have + and - running to one channel and + and - running to the other channel.
Also your LPF filter could be set too high.

Center channel drops once unit warms up

You don't have an external amlifuer, do you? You could hook the pre-amp out for the center channel to an external amp and connect the speaker to the amp. That way you could determine if it is the center channel output or the internal amp. Either way you probably need to get it serviced.

Best Regards,

-James
