More then likely, needle could be stuck closed. Fuel bowl should be easy to remove, make sure needle moves when float droppes, and fuel should flow. Remove fuel line from carb and make sure fuel is running out of tank, when fuel valve is runed on.
Add fuel preservitive, and heat to fuel every year, Use minimal amount of fuel, drain and recharge every year with fresh fuel with preservitive. Run Monthly, turn off fuel and let most of fuel to be used before turning off ignition.

Cannot get my Troy-built storm 2410 snow blower started. Practically, brand new used it once last year

Did you store it with no gas or with fuel stabilizer if you left gas in the tank ?
If not your gas gunky out the carb and the carb will need removal and cleaning.
You can verify if that's the problem by squirting a bit of starter fluid into the the carb after you remove the air filter.
If it runs with the starter fluid, your carb is gunked up.

Mower wont start changed plug still wont start checked gas line seemed okay but what is that plastic piece in the line never seen one before

Getting a mower out of its winter slumber takes some time. Start with fresh gas, new oil, and air filter. Sometimes carbs get gummed up(varnisized gas). Donyboy73 on youtube shows how to remove Briggs n Stratton in tank carb systems and clean the parts and passages.

Clay, you have a tiger by the tail. There are a lot of little parts to the carb system. I will try to assist you in the basics without carb removal. This may require a few replies back and forth. Start by turning off the gas then drain the carbs. Now turn on the gas and check to see that fuel flows into each carb. If gas starts flowing out of all the float bowls, now that the gas is back on, then all carbs are getting gas. To drain the carbs just remove the drain screw on the bottom of each carb float bowl. Two carbs have the drain screw on the left, two have it on the right side. Reply with what you find. tombones49_51.gif

No use last year and stored with gas in tank now unable to start

The gas went bad in the carb, and probably clogged the carb jets. It may be necessary to remove the carb and soak it in carb cleaner. And carefully clean out the jet passages with a small wire.

Want to mow the lawm, my efco mower purchased brand new last year wont start, have cleaner the spark plug, its full of fuel, and oil is ok, any ideas ?

If you left gas in the mower last fall there is a very good chance that the carb as developed a varnish sluge or that the fuel filter is full of ****.
Remove the gas line from the carb - do you get fuel from the tank to the carb?

this may require pulling and cleaning the carb float valve and needle and seat

Engine starts easily, but doesnt stay running. removed fuel cap, still the same, pulled off fuel line, its not plugged. With the air cleaner off if I spray in starting fluid it keeps running, but will stop...

sounds like a fuel problem in the gas tank or carb. If bad gas or debris gets into the carb fuel bowl, this will fowl up or clog the jets after you start to run your engine. you need to remove your carb and clean the fuel bowl and jets. use a jet carb cleaner to do this. without knowing what type of engine, make sure all ur jets are clean. use a fine wire to insure they are clean and put te carb back together. also check and clean the fuel valve area of the carb, the fuel line, and the fuel tank. never use last years gas and always run your equipment out of gas before you store it for the winter.
