search What is the correct spark plug gap?
The spark plug gap on all products is .025-inch.
What type of spark plug does the unit take?
The size of the plug varies from unit to unit. On trimmers, blowers and hedge trimmers is RCJ-8Y or RCJ-6Y. Follow the spark plug recommendation and replacement procedures in the operator's manual if you are doing the work yourself.
I found the manual for this model weed eater, according to the manual the mixture... and I quote "This engine is certified to operate on unleaded gasoline. Before operation, gasoline must be mixed with a good quality synthetic 2-cycle air cooled engine oil designed to be mixed at a Ratio of 40:1 ...." and I quote once more from the manual "Helpful Tip. To obtain correct oil mix ration, pour 3.2 ounces of 2 cycle synthetic oil into one gallon of fresh gas."
Hope that helps, If you like I can send the manual via email if you need it.
Possible coil break down. These cheap weed eaters only have a life expectancy of about 50 hrs Plus or Minus. You can buy new for less that it cost to repair them.Sorry that's the facts.
its a 40:1 ratio. remember to never tap the tap-n-go too hard or it will bend the shaft, and make the head hot to the touch, and eventually will melt the inside. And always keep fuel stabilizer in the gas, because if you dont, especially in winter and fall, it will clog the carb so you have to keep pumping the throttle to keep it running and you have to run it on half choke all the time
