I connected my hp C5180 to my pc then printed a test page, it started to print and hasn't stopped. It just keep printing pages of code. How do I stop this???? Tried cancelling, tried turning off then on, etc. but it just keeps going once I try to print something.

YOU NEED TO GO TO PRINTERS...AND CHANGE HOW PAGES YOU WANT TO PRINT...AND TAKE THE PAPER OUT OF PRINTER, SO IT DOESN'T USE UP ALL YOUR INK!

Hi Sir/mam '' i hope i can help you with my idea ' as you said your HP prints the print test but not working to print any document '', so here we start on start menu then click my computer , as it opens you can be able to see your HP device icon , click HP then click print settings , set it to print using HP as default printer , because another instance it is set to print to image or print to file or print to email. . thank you

I was printing a downloaded document on my HP C5180 printer that contained 144 pages. The printer started at page 144 and stopped at page 44. How do I get it to print the remaining pages without reprinting...

You don't specify from which application are you printing, or even what operating system are we talking about.
If it's Windows, then you need to open your document, hit Ctrl+P or choose File->Print from the menu, and in the Print dialog that appears specify "1 - 44" in the Pages field. Finally confirm by clicking OK.

Try to perform this step as --->press setup menu on the printer front panel then scroll using the arrow key and select print report and then select self test report

if it does not print then the issue is with the printer hardware

  3. Click the Settings menu, point to Print Settings , and then click Printer Toolbox .
  4. Click the Services tab, and then click Print test page . The self-test diagnostic page prints.

How can I stop my printer automatically printing out a test page when I switch it on?

every time u switch on the printer it will print the alignment sheet until you scan it.once the alignment sheet is printed ,keep it in the scanner glass and press the scan button.this will scan the alignment sheet.

My hp deskjet 5150 will not stop printing

If you are using Windows XP

1. Click start then run then type in cmd then click ok.
2. Type in NET STOP SPOOLER

After that in the lower right corner of your screen you should see a printer icon. Delete the queueu

If that still does not work Unplug the power from the printer then wait for 5 mins then restart your computer and turn it back on.

I need your help please!!!

unplug the printer from your computer. turn power off. see if printer goes through it's start sequence, and will print a test page(from menu)...then, connect to computer, and see if you can print test page from computer.

Find out how to print a test page, then print one and check for problems. With luck, printing the test page will fix the problem...
