Where do i put envelopes in a lexmark X6570

Loading envelopesYou can load up to 10 envelopes at a time.
Warning: Do not use envelopes that have metal clasps, string ties, or metal folding bars.

1 Load envelopes in the center of the paper support with the stamp location in the upper left corner.
2 Make sure:
• The print side of the envelopes faces you.
• The envelopes are designed for use with inkjet printers.
• The paper guides rest against the edges of the envelopes.

Notes:
• Do not load envelopes with holes, perforations, cutouts, or deep embossing.
• Do not use envelopes that have exposed flap adhesive.
• Envelopes require more drying time. Remove each envelope as it exits, and allow it to dry to avoid ink smudging.

In trying to repair my Lexus x6570 the teech over the phone hhad my pull the paper out of the rollers & then then printer stopped working. Everything was woorking fine until this incident. Are you...

I'm not sure if I understand you correctly but it sounds like you had a paper jam problem and now your printer is not functioning properly. Here are some tips:
  • Make sure to remove the paper jam completely.
  • Avoid leaving torn paper in the printer, this would cause future paper jams.
  • Unload the sheets of paper from the feeder. Open the printer cover and remove the cartridges. Close the printer cover. Unplug and re-plug the printer into the power source to reset it. When the printer turns on, re-insert the cartridges and then close the printer cover. Load some paper. Try to print again.

Cannot change/ save two default settings on X6570 Lexmark printer

Hi,
you can go to printers and faxes (XP) or printers (vista) in control panel Right click on the printer and click on properties. Go to advanced tab and click on printing defaults. It will pop up the printer printing preferences. choose the desired setting. To disable 2-sided printing, go to advanced tab in the preferences window and turn off the feature. Click ok to save all settings. Go back to general tab and click on printing preferences and set desired settings if there is a need. Click ok to save settings. Then, for all changes to take effect, click ok button on the lexmark 6500 series properties window. Try to print again. Hope this helps.

Machine puts a 1/2 inch black line down the right side of paper being printed

Replacing the ink cartridges usually fixes this problem. If there are still lines, try replacing the drum(s). Most drums however are self contained in ink cartridges on higher end printers and laserjets.

X6570 paper jam message won't clear even after paper removed

I had the same problem. What i figured out wich said nothing about it in the book was to.
- turn off printer
- Dbl make sure there is no jammed paper
- put at least one sheet in the feeder like normal
-then turn printer back on ,when printer is going through its start up steps it will pull the paper through that you loaded in the printer and should clear the paper jam message.
It took me a day and a half to figure that one out, so some how post a reply if it works for you so i can pat myself on the back.
Thank you -PURNRG

Lexmark printer x6570 unable to allign after putting in new cartr

In this case what i would request u to do is....... Take out both the catridges from the Printer......... Take 2 Paper Towels one should be wet with Luke warm water and the other one should be dry........... Take the Colour catridge first turn it upside down and u will see a small copper plate on the catridge from where the ink comes out....... Place the wet paper towel using ur thumb on the Copper plate and press it a lit bit for 10 Seconds...... Now remove it and see whether u see any ink on the paper towel.......... U should see some ink on it now place the dry paper towel on the ink catridge in the same way........ Now do the same procedure again.......... Do the same procedure twice on the Black Catridge................. Now take the dry paper towel and turn the direction of the cartridge so that u can see a Copper plate on it with small boxes just clean that copper plate with the Dry Paper Towel.......... Know insert both the catridges inside the Printer the Colour Catridge should go in the right side and the black on the left........ Good Luck

Paper jam

There is an end of form sensor in the paper path that is likely stuck or the rollers cannot turn due to some other Jam. The machine will throw that message if those two mechanisms cannot function. Look for debris in the printer - give it a good shake.

PAPER JAM

Rotate tires. Pull out paper tray. Pull down on red low paper indicator at left bottom. Two rollers come down on axel near center. I pulled off the rubber tire like roller, then twisted the roller inside out and reinstalled it with the fresh side out.
If tires dry out again will probably buy new ones from ebay.
