Did you hit or dropped your phone?
Maybe the screen got broken, if i were you i would take it to a service center.
Also you can try rebooting it from your pc, just connect it and restore it.

Call your cell phone provider, this phone has had a history of this problem and I think they have made a recall on some of the models that yours may fall under. if you get no where with the mobile provider, then call samsung yourself directly and deal with them. i have found them to be very helpful and very cool with returns that have already expired with warrantys. it's worth a shot, regretfully this is a common issue with some touch screens that technology has yet to figure out, except the experts with touch screen as in the apple corporation. there really is no other touch screen phone but the iphone, all other companies just cannot compete, though they try.
