Projector makes lots of noise

Yes, that can solve the problem because there's also a possibility that the lamp is the one that is causing the noise..

Hope that helps........

When I turn my projector on within seconds it turns itself off

Are the fans all starting up? The symptom you describe is often associated with a faulty fan. Also could be a failed lamp, as the projector will shut down if the lamp does not strike within a defined time, although in this case the 'lamp' light should come on

I changed the bulb my self after a year and a half of use when it poped inside the projector , then i when ahead and bought a new one and replaced it myself , i only got to use it for a couple of days and...

This is not normal for a lamp. If you have touched the lamp with your fingers, this could increase the probability of the lamp failing. Anytime you replace a lamp, DO NOT touch it with your fingers directly. The oils can cause uneven heating which will then crack the lamp housing as you describe. Since this also can be a manufacturing defect, contact the lamp supplier. They may replace it for no charge as it is unusual. It won't hurt to ask.

Additional information is required for us to assist. Can you better describe what you mean by "poor image"? Are the colors separated? Is the picture out of focus? Are the colors wrong?

Please describe the picture or post a picture of the screen if you can.

Just replaced vt700 lamp. projector still indicating faulty lamp. i also reset the lamp hrs by pressing help on remote. can any one help thanks

Try the old lamp again and reset again and see if that works. When you originally replaced the lamp did it give you a warning that replacement was required or did it just stop? I haven't worked on that model before but you may require a new Ballast (power supply ) that runs the lamp (technician job usually)

Infocus LP725 Replacement Bulb

if you don't know exactly how many hours are on the new lamp, you can't be sure it works. since it's a mercury lamp, there will be no contenuity. check the lamp for cracks or clouding, not just burn marks.if the lamp is actually good, you may have a ballast issue.

Sharp XG-P10XU lamp problem

power supply or lamp ballasts, both are pretty common to produce results as you describe, looking at $600.00 or so to repair. if those are the only things wrong.
