That problem is commonly happen to LCD television. The cause of the problem is abnormal supply voltage of the television. The problem is the power supply. There's a leak capacitor in the power supply that may cause of abnormal output voltage supply. You can identify the leak capacitor through visual checking if you don't know how to use the capacitor tester to find the leak capacitor.First thing to do is,open the back cover of the TV and look the power supply,it is located at upper right parts of the TV.remove the cover of the power supply and you can see the leak capacitor. It has a rounded shape at the top compare to flated top shape of good capaitor. It also sometimes have moise at the top.So try to replace all leak capacitor with new capacitor with same value.Example of capacitor value is 330mf/35v. Make sure that there's no short circuit when you soldering the PCB board of the power supply. The tools you can use is, Soldering iron, soldering lead, soldering pump, diagonal cutter flier and philip screw. This procedure can be applied if you want to repair your television at your self. So if you don't want to repair just call a technician. But the the problem is in the power supply.Hope it will help you..Thank you..

SOURCE: power lights keep blinking

The power light indicates a problem (usually) with an internal problem. Usually there is a pattern to the light. (for example 3 blinks then a pause, 3 blinks then a pause etc.)

A service tech can use the code to help determine the problem.

SOURCE: Tv will not turn on

The green blinks are an error code indicating a specific fault, your power supply developed an 'over-voltage' issue and needs to be serviced at your local repair shop.......

SOURCE: RED LIGHT KEEPS BLINKING..WAS LIKE A POWER SURGE

Surge protectors aren't perfect... If the surge was big enough and long enough then it can cause problems. Most manufacturers have on-board protection as well. That's not perfect either. Often the surge does nothing more than confuse the microprocessor (computer) that controls all aspects of your television. The fact that the red light is blinking means that your set is trying to protect itself. This can happen for one of two reasons. Something in the set has failed. Usually the power supply inside the set possibly also a trouble in the scan section of your set. These are normally a shop repair. The other thing is when the microprocessor is confused it will do nothing further until it's reset. To reset the processor simply unplug the set from the wall and wait 10 minutes. Plug it back in and if it works then happy viewing. If it doesn't then you will need a repair.

If is a failure caused by a failure in the grid that delivers power to your set then you are usually able to file a claim for the repairs. Contact your local power company. explain what happened. If it's their fault then usually they will pay for a repair. I know the PG&E does.

The power on no piture

If the power light comes on (green) for a few seconds and goes off:

MOST OF THESE SETS HAVE A SELF DIAGNOSTIC:

UNPLUG TV AND THEN PLUG BACK IN---TURN ON---GREEN POWER LIGHT COMES ON FOR A MOMENT AND GOES OFF.

PRESS AND HOLD "device"(input) and "menu" buttons on front of tv for at least 5 seconds and then release both together.

Watch for power light to blink in a sequence:

1 blink-then 2 blinks-------no error

2 blink-then 1 blink-------X-ray protection

2 blink-then 2 blink-------SHORT PROTECTION*******

2 blink-then 3 blink---------deflection circuit problem

2 blink-then 4 blink---------vertical circuit problem

******2, then 2 is most common---usually means one of the fuses that protect the Convergence IC or IC's is blown---set will detect no voltage to convergence IC and shut down.

SET WILL REPEAT BLINK ERROR CODE UP TO 5 TIMES AND THEN TO GET IT TO REPEAT MORE YOU HAVE TO UNPLUG SET AND TRY TO TURN ON AGAIN.

IF IT IS 2 AND THEN 2---USUALLY
CONVERGENCE CIRCUIT PROBLEM

let me know what you find--hope that you find 2 blinks, a pause and two blinks--this is the most common and easiest to fix.

When the tv plugged up the power led blinks 3 times. When the power button is pressed the tv comes on for three seconds and turns back off. What could be the problem? Could this be a convergence problem?

Do the self check when power light goes out:

ON front of set (not remote) press and hold both the Menu and Input (Device) buttons at same time for 5 seconds or longer and release both buttons.

Power light will blink a two digit error code like 2 blinks, 2 blinks, a pause and repeat it several times.

Let me know code.
