Saeco odea does not brew. coffee beans will grind, then coffee maker will start flashing all lights, and ground coffee will spit out without brewing. when i change beans to more oily ones, it works without problem.

Hello, the water in drip pan is clea water ot coffee water?(brown). Take a pucture inside machine with no brew unit inside.

I had a similar problem
Mine was caused by an "oily" type of coffee beans. Grind was accumulating in the grinder.

I did open the machine and cleaned the grinder physically. At least, try to remove all beans and sucked with a vacuum the interior of the grinder screw.

First grind the coffe beans . then insert into cup and brew the coffee .

is the water available for brewing? are there enough beans for brewing? is there anything that shipped with the unit blocking the grounds?

have you tried adjust coffee strenght?

The thing that comes to mind is the brew unit is blocked and or the grind is too fine. Remove the brew unit and clean the screen under the red o-ring.

I recently had this problem. I throughly cleaned and lubricated the brew group as directed by the manual. Apparently if the brew group doesn't move smoothly enough it won't grind the correct amount of beans. Try lubricating and then brewing 2-3 cups to have the machine recalibrate the grind amount.

After grinding did you hear the brew group goes up and pump start? If you hear the pump start and stopped, itis blockage in the brewunit metal screen. Just needs cleaning.
If you don't hear the pump starting, the problem is with the faulty micro switch inside the gearbox , that is behind the plate of brewunit.(service center job)

Try adjusting the grind four numbers coarser and brew a coffee, if you are getting the same result then the brew unit is clogged and the screen needs to be cleaned.
