SOURCE: JVC HD-70FH96 both HDMI problems

Have you been using a flashlight behind the TV. These TV's have a sensor that shuts off the unit when the rear cover is removed (by sensing light). You may have tripped this. I think you can fix this in the service menu somehow but I can't remember.

SOURCE: When connecting my Blue Ray

It all depends on the dvd that you are watching you cant change it to anything bigger than what is was recorded.

You will have to just watch it like it is. I have the same thing with my dvd player its really thin picture its annoying

SOURCE: no owners manual can't get new blue ray dvd player to work on tv

Here is the manual:
http://www.hdtvsolutions.com/pdf/JVG%20HD52G56G.pdf

When using the HDMI connections you may have to tell the DVD to output to that port.  Also you may have to connect additional sound cables from the DVD output to the TV.

Chromecast is not working with jvc hd52g886

Don,
The HDMI is best..but you need the standard HDMI cable. BUT this JVC is in the new Noah movie? Seriously, it wont handle Roku. The digital in function is strictly 480 p.
I think you will have to upgrade to a newer tv for this source

Jvc hd52g886 no sound

l would first make sure the speakers in the set did not get switched to OFF and also see if a DVD connected to one of the rear inputs has sound or not.

I know this set as saw one two weeks old first with no sound.

The entire audio circuit is on a single board (all of it) that is sandwiched between two other boards.

The first one was new so I Called Jvc and did some checks as they indicated---problem was on the audio board and since no individual parts for any board are sold--they told me to order the board--the board was on Factory backorder as a lot of them failed.

The customer did not want to wait so since a new set they exchanged it----Then they notified us to cancel the part order and dispose of the set in any way we wanted--they abandoned it to us.

I had our parts person keep the order going for the board..

l received the part about a month later, installed it (40 minutes) and had a 100% nearly brand new set that we later sold with a warranty--ours.

Most shops should be able to detect if the board is bad---you will have signal and audio coming in and if none at the output--bad board.

If I remember that board wholesales for around (at the time) a hundred dollars or a little more.

Hope this helps

My jvc-hd52g886 has a bad picture where black shld appers it is over lapped with red bloches

A projection tv that has color issues is usually due to bad ballast which is attached to color wheel which you should also look at to make sure the colors are not mixed together and wheel is not warped.

How do i set the clock on my jvc kds641.ive previously done it on numerous occasions but cant find the manual or remember how......please help??????

Ok I can not guarantee this info is correct for you exact model. But on allot of JVC units this is the procedure:

Setting the clock
1 Press and hold SEL (Select) for more
than 2 seconds.
“CLOCK H”, “CLOCK M”, “SCM LINK” or
“LEVEL” appears on the display.
2 Set the hour.
1 Select “CLOCK H” if not shown on the
display.
2 Adjust the hour.
3 Set the minute.
1 Select “CLOCK M.”
2 Adjust the minute.
4 Press SEL (select) to finish the setting.

I hope this info is usefull in some way

Power board for jvc hd52g886

you can try removing the 3wire plug that runs to the ATSC tuner (1orange wire 2 white wires). This will tell you if the tuner is causing the shutdown. This is a common problem.

JVC GR-DX25EK camcorder

JVC has issued a notice on many models that bring up a "lens cap" error. However, the GR-DX25EK is not included. The model you have posted on its page(GR-DX95) is though. This problem is still very common with models that aren't on the said list, given that and the fact that your model is from the same series, you might get some consideration from JVC. No harm in trying. The listed models get a free repair. Heres a link to the notice from JVC: http://www.jvc.com/support/notification/index.jsp?pageID=2 Good luck
