The jbl sound system has a separate amp by the airbag, an each solution is to tap into the harness that is above the air condition and heating controls, those are the speaker wires. what you are doing is by passing the jbl amp. the jbl amp is only a 14x4 watt amp. your deck will deliver more power. I also had the same problem while installing my aftermarket deck.
Your aftermarket radio should have color-coded wires which identifies power, ground, speakers, etc. most depaetment stores carry a radio harness adapter kit. This will connect to your radio's exact color coded wires, and will plug right in to your factory's wiring plug. And don't forget electrical tape.
