You do not say if you have tried to format it in a PC. If you have no PC or your PC has no card deader, then try a friend's PC or an internet cafe that has a workstation with a card reader
Try wiping the metal elements gently with a slightly damp cloth.
If you or any friend of your has a computer running linux you can sometimes use Linux diagnostic and recovery tools to recover data from corrupted flash drives.
Sounds like it is not formatted for your mobile device. If you can, with the card inserted into the mobile device, format the card and see if that corrects the problem.
I have heard of cases of SD cards just giving up the ghost and not working. If it is only 3 months old I suggest you take it back to the place you bought it
Are you using a card reader? If yes, you need to isolate the problem. Please follow the steps below:
1. Try connecting your memory card reader into different USB port of the computer. 2. Try using different card reader to see if there's a problem with the card or with the reader. 3. Connect it into different computer. 4. Remove and reinsert the MicroSD in the card reader and make sure that the card is properly seated. 5. If the card reader and the computer are working but still unable to detect the MicroSD, try to reformat the card. 6. If same problem persist, return it to the store and have it replaced.
