I have a D-Link DKVM-8E 8-port KVM Switch where the console is off and I need to get it back on. Had Hurricane Irene here yesterday.

As it stands on its own, no. You would need either a USB adapter to match either the keyboard or mouse port on the KVM. Another solution might possibly to get USB Hub to attach. Without physically testing it myself, I am not sure if it would work, but it is possible.

now are you using PS2 mouse and keyboards i presume if you are trying to use USB ones with adapters in it you need to put in power to the switch or they wont work as they need 5V to work. look on the back and it will tell you how much power it needs and get a transformer that gives you the same power or on you can change the power to that you need. hope that helps you

unplug the usb cables from the pc's then plug them back in it will start working again

My problem was resolved by moving the keyboard\mouse to another port.

password is 00000000

OR

Username :admin
Password :admin

default is 00000000

In my case, it is <Scroll Lock>, <Scroll Lock>, <1> or <2>
And NOT F1 or F2 as the previous writer suggests.
