Our Sylvania 6842-PEM won't work. It seemed to spark out the back, went dark, and won't start up again.
We have what we believe are the correct replacement capacitors, according to previous posts regarding this problem, but we are not sure which board, and where on the board they might be located.
Any help would be appreciated.
I have the same problem, tv wont come on but goes to standby mode. there is no bad capacitors on the power board, what else could be the problem. can someone help please.

Something is breaking down. Possibly a specific ceramic capacitor on the main power pcb that has been troublesome. Usually there is just a loud pop and the screen goes dead. If the set is less than a year old it is still on parts warranty and the technician could just change circuit boards until the problem is gone.
Too late now but I hope you had it serviced while it was still on parts warranty. With a couple of exceptions, service on those is by major pcb replacement.
I have the same problem where can i find the capacitor
