Hi,

It means there are some applications that were not compatible.

It will list the incompatible softwares when after you select to install.

Uninstall them properly.

You have to remove using proper uninstallation tool.

Like even deleting the traces from the registry.

After this you wont be having any problems.

Good Luck.

Removal of AVG8

Try bootin to safe mode by pressing F8 on turning on the system then try to uninstall by going into the control panel [Programs(vista)/Add or Remove Programs(XP)]

By doing this you will be able to uninstall the AVG anti virus.
Then restart and the system will boot in normal mode then install Kaspersky. Never have 2 anti virus in a system. Just a word of caution.
Cheers !

I am not able to install kaspersky security software into my system, it says you have to delete avg8, i tried everything till now, avg8 is not in my system. how to i install this kaspersky or uninstall...

Kaspersky tells you whether this is because at some point that was installed on the PC AVG8, but is unlikely to be removed either. I recommend you look for the installation of AVG8, install and then uninstall icon from the Add / Remove Programs control panel. This should eliminate all traces that may remain in the system of AVG.

After this reboot the PC and can install Kaspersky without any problem.

Uninstall of software

Sounds like you did not do things in the correct order or you did not reboot between the AVG uninstall and the Kapersky install, so that it looked like AVG was still loaded.

Since Kapersky is not installed, the best way to proceed is to start from a fresh reboot, download and re-install the AVG free edition to get the registry entries corrected. Don't bother with updates as it is coming back out again. Reboot and uninstall AVG. Reboot again and verify AVG is gone before attempting to install the Kapersky.

AVG free can be downloaded from free.grisoft.com assuming you mean the 8.0 version, not 7.5, otherwise try downloading from www.filehippo.com and select the older version.

Cannot uninstall avg 8 completely

I have had AVG for a long time and it beats any antivirus i have ever had. but if you really want to remove it, use the add/remove programs, or go to the star menu, programs, AVG folder and select the UN-installer. once removed, then try again to install the new one. Make sure to select ( remove Virus Vault ) in the option when un-installing AVG.

If your still getting issues, go into C: and delete any remaing AVG system folders that may be left behind.

Good luck
