AE comes on. Have not used the dishwasher. Just started today. How do I stop it from coming on. I can call LG tomorrow

The AE or E1 error code indicates a possible leak from the unit. This is most often caused by excessive suds overflowing into the base of the dishwasher.

This problem could be caused by a failure on your machine or the detergent used. I highly recommend you follow the troubleshooting from the LG website. HEre is the link.

Lg AE code

The AE error is
indicative that there is a leak
somewhere in the washer and it has
triggered the flood protection device
found at the bottom of machine.

My husband pushed buttons on the lg dishwasher and then opened it and closed it. He doesn't know what buttons he pushed and an AE error is showing. .

Machine wd14030rd stopped midway through cycle with 'ae' water leak message although there is no apparant water surrounding machine. Turning off taps and power and machine still shows water leak message....

This is a really common problem that most people send hundreds when they can fix it themselves. Power off your washer, put it on its side. Your going to see four to six silver bolts with hex heads located in the center holding in a plastic device known as the filter assembly. Remove the screws and find any hair inside the assembly. Remove the hair and put the screws back in. Even the smallest amount of hair inside the filter/drain assembly will cause this problem. PRESS AND HOLD POWER BUTTON TO RESET THE ERROR CODES

Ae display warning

Hi

Error AE means that the machine has detected a leak in the base of the washer. The anti flood device has detected the water and its displaying the error AE.

Unplug the washer and remove the back panel of the washer. Check for any stagnant water present in the base of the washer. If no water is present then check for the anti flood sensor and any disconnected wires.

Hi.

Error AE is prompted when there is a leak detected at the base of the appliance or when the anti flood safety device gets activated.

Disconnect power by unplugging power cord or resetting circuit breaker.

While power is off remove any water present at the base of the appliance.

If there is no water, check the pressure switch, wiring and control board for faults that may result in error AE. Check also setting of the drain hose at the back (it may cause siphoning), and make sure that inlet valve is not leaking.
