I have a LKD-8DS handset connected to an extension on our GDK-100 system. This works fine. I have recently bought a LDP-7024D handset and wish to use it on the same extension. When I plug it in there is no dial tone and the display reads:
LDP-7024D V1.2C
Scout-DX V1.1 OK SYNC
Please help!
LKD-8DS and GDK-100 are not compatible no matter what any one says i have had a look and just called them just so i can clear this up so if u think different just pop a call in to there serbvice center

How dop you know that the LDP-7024D headset is compatible with your GDK-100 system , did you ask the retailer before buying?
That can be the problem.
Hi.. it need to register that due to the network connection.. and also see that whether the handset setting's are correct.. thank u ...
You cant use 2 different models on the one line. Thats what my phone company said to me
Its nothing to do with registration.
Try to check the telephone wire connections. or try to use the other phone box to test.
try to use the phone on the other extension or into other box.. we will test and check if your phone was still functioning/working.

The wire connections are fine. I wondered whether the handset needs to be 'registered' in some way? (Although new LKD-8DS sets just plug in and work).

I no longer want to use the LKD-8DS, only the LDP-7024D. If the line needs reconfiguring (I didn't think it would), how do I do this?
I've already got a copy of this manual - but I can't see that it helps.
The phone does not work in any extensions off this GDK100 box, but I don't think there is a problem with the phone as such. I'm really looking for some specific help with the error noted above.
The Supported PBX Types pdf does not seem to include the GDK-100 - unless it goes by another name? The second pdf download is for a bluetooth module - not relevant here. It *would* be helpful to get confirmation that the LDP-7024D handset is compatble with the GDK-100, but I presume that it is....
All indications (including the pdfs previously posted) seem to indicate that the LDP-7024D handset and the LKD-8DS handsets are interchangeable - I would be interested in any concrete evidence as to whether the LDP-7024D is compatible with the GDK100 system - either way!
I know that LKD-8DS and GDK-100 are compatible since that is the combination I already have happily working here. I am wanting to replace the LKD-8DS handset with the LDP-7024D handset.

Thanks Robert - I'm about to try this. How do I reset the system?
Ralph.
The phone does not seem to be communicating with the PBX at all, so "resetting" and "menu" do not work.
