Refrigerator not cooling FRS22WNC

the damper vent door between the freezer and refrigerator isn't opening to let cold air into the refrigerator compartment from the freezer side, its in the upper left corner in the refrigerator behind a grille,if its closed you wont feel cold air flowing in from the freezer sometimes you can shine a light in this area and look in the other compartment and if no light then the doors shut and this is why its not cooling the refrigerator

Frigidaire Refrigerator FFTR1814LW bottom fridge not cooling properly 50 degrees. The top freezer is rock soild Thx

That is the classic symptoms of a defrost system failure. Suggest you look behind the rear panel on the inside of your freezer and see if it is iced up. If it is then it is a defrost problem which could be the defrost heater, defrost thermostat or defrost timer. If it isn't iced up, then check to make sure the fan is operating. If it isn't then it won't push cold air out of the freezer into the refrigerator section.

Freezer coil, inside freezer compartment continues to freeze to a solid block of ice. Apparently the auto defrost isn't working. I can manually shut it down, thaw it and restart. It works fine for...

Your defrost circuit is made up of a defrost heater, defrost thermostat and a defrost timer (generally, but will depend on make and model). They are relatively straight forward to troubleshoot and replace, and not that expensive.

Suggest you go to www.searspartdirect.com and plug in the model number of your frigerator and look up the parts you need to get an idea of how much they are. NOTE: Sears isn't the cheapest place to buy the parts, but they use the real part number for further research.
