New Bright, F-150, Red Thunder 4X4: Truck goes into "static" mode when forward or reverse is pushed on remote. In other words, truck starts up when turned on, steering, horn and lock work fine, but when you push forward or reverse on the remote, the truck doesn't move, but emits a static, crackling sound from it's speaker. At that point, the other functions cease to work. Full charge on battery of unknown age or condition. New batteries in remote. Thanks in advance! Greg

Don't throw away any NiCd power tool battery, Firestorm or Versapakbattery that does not hold a charge or does not give you the power youneed, you can get new life from your battery or device that containsNiCd batteries. icad batteries often die in such a way that they won't take a chargeand have zero voltage. This usually means they are shorted out bycrystal dendrite growth. You Can fix these shorted crystal dendrites by"Revitalization through Vaporization of Dendrites (RVD) Process".

I have purchased 2 remote controlled toy cars from Costco over the years. These New Bright batteris and charges last only a few charges, and then they go bad. I am disappointed. I will go to Walmart and buy a new battery and see if it works better, if not, i will return to Walmart.

This train set is very particular and getting it to work each Christmas is a family tradition in frustration. First you must make sure that all the pieces of track are connected properly and that the track is perfectly symmetrical and flat. We double-check the battery positions every year and find one in wrong. There are + and - signs, but they're hard to see; use a flashlight. There is a black toggle switch below and behind the red stack that toggles forward (to make the train go forward) and backwards (reverse); straight out perpendicular to the train is the "stop" position. Also, you have to start at a stop/switch station. One other note: behind the red stack, there is a smaller black stack. If you turn this, you can make smoke come out of the stack. I think I remember someone suggesting a drop of cooking oil. Hope this helps!!! Hope you get it set up for Christmas!!!

the battery isnt lasting because it needs to be fully discharged (drained) before it is recharged. (this is only for nicd batteries)
